Pirate Veronica is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Pirate Veronica is one of the firsts of a new hero category, the harmonized heroes. They have access to a unique harmonized skill which is very similar to duo skills. You can activate harmonized skills by pressing the the harmonized skill button. Because this harmonized unit features both Veronica and Xander, they can qualify for bonus scores in all of the games where these two show up!

Pirate Veronica Strengths

Harmonized Skill buffs Mia and Alies

Pirate Veronica's harmonized skill grants her and all allies coming from Fire Emblem titles such as Fates and Heroes +4 Def/Res. There are a lot of powerhouses from these titles such as Fallen Corrin (M) from Fates and Surtr from Heroes so this can be a great skill depending on the circumstances. Additionally it also prevents foes from scoring follow-up attacks for the first combat engagement in a phase for affected allies.

The skill does not have any additional trigger requirements besides the one mentioned above. It is a combat buff, meaning, it can be easily stacked with other buffs and it does not make the target units susceptible to panics and chills. Lastly, it is refreshed at the start of every third turn. All of these quirks make this skill extremely valuable and adds to Pirate Veronica's value as a versatile unit.

Strong Solo Skill

Atk/Def Solo 4 grants Pirate Veronica +7 Atk/Def during combat when she enters a fight without adjacent allies. This skill is not only very powerful, but it is also very easy to utilize especially in the favored game mode for Pirate Veronica, Resonant Battles. This is because in Resonant Battles, your units are most likely away from each other as they are trying to take out priority targets that are spread out.

Lots of In-Combat Buffs

Her base kit provides lots of in-combat buffs and debuffs that makes her susceptibly dense when it comes to stats. In ideal conditions, Pirate Veronica is able to hoard +7 Atk +12 Def +5 Res while simultaneously debuffing the enemy for -3 Atk and -8 Def. If her harmonized skill is active, she and her compatible allies gain +4 Def/Res and prevents enemies from nailing follow-up attacks in the first combat of a phase.

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Pirate Veronica takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
