When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-HP

The best IVs for Geesse are +Atk and -HP. A +Atk IV adds to his already high Atk stat. This allows Geese to defeat many foes in one turn. It is also a superboon, so you should take advantage of it as much as possible. A superboon means he gets +4 in this stat instead of the normal +3 if he possesses a boon in said stat. His HP is of less importance to him so it is best to take it as his bane.

Geese is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Geese Strengths

Stronger with no adjacent allies

Flowing Lance+ inflicts -5 Atk/Def to enemies whenever Geese enters combat without allies adjacent to him. It also neutralizes any bonuses the foe has on Atk/Def. A severely lowered Atk/Def means that Geese will take less damage from counterattacks and allows him to deal more damage as he inflicts physical damage with a lance.

Buffs Atk if HP is Higher than Foe's

Fire Boost 3 grants +6 Atk if Geese's HP ≥ foe’s HP+3. Unlike Death Blow 3, it also activates when Geese performs counterattacks, making it a good enemy phase skill as well.

Speeds up the special cooldown of allied infantry

The C skill Infantry Pulse will reduce the cooldown count of infantry units at the start of the first turn. This will work on all allies whose HP is lower than Geese's, and it stacks with other similar skills, meaning it can be paired with Heavy Blade or Breaker weapons.

Geese sports a very low Res. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Geese's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.
