How to Use, Explanation

A Brazen Push build for Masquerade Ethlyn. Since she is running Windsweep 3 in this build, she will most likely not be able to kill foes, but with her dagger she will be able to weaken them enough for your main offensive unit to finish them off. You can also opt for another B skill if you want to utilize her Spd for nailing follow-up attacks.

Masquerade Ethlyn is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Masquerade Ethlyn Strengths

Refresher-assist unit with the benefits of flying movement

Masquerade Ethlyn is a flying unit with an assist skill that grants an additional action. As flying units are not restricted in movement by terrains such as forests and rivers, flying units with refresher assists make wonderful support units. This means she has 2 ways of supporting her allies, either applying debuffs through Courtly Fan+ or refreshing her allies actions. Either way, you should always make sure that she is positioned well for Joint Drive Spd to trigger.

Courtly Fan+ and Windsweep Synergize to make Ethlyn a powerful offensive threat

Windsweep 3 protects Ethlyn from many counterattacks, but it disables her counterattacks in the player phase. However, Courtly Fan+ neutralizes this effect so you only get the benefits from Windsweep 3! Additionally, Courtly Fan+ and her other skills grants her a bunch of Spd. Expect Ethlyn to score back-to-back attacks with this skill combo! It will be pretty common for her to take out enemies without receiving a counterattack.

Specialize in Atk and Spd, especially in Aether Raids

Courtly Fan+ grants +5 Atk/Spd if Ethlyn initiates combat. Joint Drive Spd grants an additional +4 Spd to him. That is a total of +5 Atk +9 Spd in the player phase.
Additionally, AR-D Atk/Spd 3 can grant him up to +10 Atk/Spd in Aether Raids defense! Because of this, you might want to consider Masquerade Ethlyn as a defense unit in your Aether Keep.

Masquerade Ethlyn Weaknesses

Low Def

Masquerade Ethlyn's Def only sits at 16 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Ethlyn's positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take her out.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Masquerade Ethlyn takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
