When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Plegian Kris (M) will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Plegian Kris (M) are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Plegian Kris (M) to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. It also protects him from hostile follow-up attacks. His Res is very low and is of less importance and thus safe to be taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Plegian Kris (M) to 10. It is best to aim for follow-up attacks to increase his offensive ability as his Atk combined with his Def debuffs is already high. If you prefer relying on skills to increase Kris' Spd, you can go for a +Atk IV instead.
He will reach 44 Spd at 10 merges if you take this IV.

The goal of the build is to take advantage of Kris' decent Spd and bulk to aim for quad-attacks. Ninja Masakari+ inflicts penalties to defensive stats, but if Kris is able to score nasty quad-attacks anyway, he does not need much durability as there is no foe to take him out. Offense is the best defense in this case. Although be wary of counterattacks and bring a healer with you just in case.

Smite ensures that no allied unit is adjacent to Kris. Spd Smoke 3 is an easy-to-use debuf that helps Kris and allies to outspeed house and Chil Def 3 Sacred Seal has great synergy with Chill Atk 3 and Plegian Axe+ and it will allow Kris to cripple enemy units with debuffs.

Plegian Kris is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Plegian Axe+ inflicts -5 Atk/Def + doubles any current penalty of a foe on Atk/Def when Plegian Kris (M) is not adjacent to any allied unit on the field! This is effectively a minimum of +5 Atk +5 Def/Res buff when he is solo on the field.
Make sure to pay attention to Plegian Kris (M)'s positioning in relation to his allies to make the most out of his kit as losing out on that massive power boost may lead him to be very inefficient. Use his mobility to meet this condition as all times!
If you like the weapon effect, but you don't like Plegian Kris (M) as a unit, you can always fodder it off to your favorite axe unit.
Chill Atk 3 inflicts -7 Atk on the enemy unit with the highest Atk stat. This is very important as it decreases the damage of one of the most powerful attackers on the opposite team. However, the debuff only lasts until their next action, so if they are granted another action through Galeforce or a refresher-assist skill, the debuff will cease and they can attack without the -7 Atk.
Another quirk of Chill Atk 3 is that it affects the enemy unit regardless of where Plegian Kris (M) is. This will work with Plegian Axe+'s effects so expect a greater Atk suppression when Kris is on the field.
the -12 Atk consists of the -5 Atk from Plegian Axe and the -7 doubled from the map-visible debuff of Chill Atk 3, this allows Plegian Kris to inflict -22 Atk just from those two skills alone.
Plegian Kris' Res only sits at 22 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Kris's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.
Plegian Kris (M) takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane or Rauðrwolf+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

We recommend that you use Unlock Potential to bring Kris - Ardent Firebrand from 4 Stars to 5 Stars. Kris - Ardent Firebrand is very useful as a cavalry axe attacker, so you may find using Unlock Potential on Kris - Ardent Firebrand helpful if your team lacks a party member with this role.

Plegian Kris (M) can be used to inherit the skills Plegian Axe+ or Atk Smoke 3. However, Plegian Kris (M) is a powerful hero that can provide lots of firepower for your lineups. Please think carefully before fodderring him off.
He is available from Heroic Grails so getting multiple copies of him is very feasible even for F2P players. We suggest securing at least 1 copy before getting his skills. Please consider that you only get 22 copies of him including those from the Tempest Trials+ where he was originally available from.
Plegian Kris (M) is a limited time Hero who can be obtained as a reward for your score in the Tempest Trials. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
