What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants bonus movement, Special cooldown charges, and damage reduction on foe's first attack, and also inflicts Atk/Def penalties onto foe. ・Exclusive B skill inflicts Atk/Def penalties onto foe, allows unit to attack twice, and restores HP for each attack, but allows foe to counterattack before unit attacks. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of turn, if number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 2, grants "unit can move 1 extra space" to unit (that turn only; does not stack). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Def-6 on foe, grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% during combat. |
Cooldown Count = 3 Boosts damage dealt by 50% of unit’s Def. |
If unit or foe initiates combat after moving to a different space, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Def during combat = X + 6 (X = number of spaces moved by whoever initated combat; max 4.) If X ≥ 2, neutralizes unit's penalties to Atk/Def during combat. |
If number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 1, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe during combat (X = 4 + number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat; max 8), unit attacks twice, and when unit deals damage to foe during combat, restores 7 HP to unit (triggers even if 0 damage is dealt), but also, if unit initiates combat, foe can counterattack before unit's first attack. |
At start of turn, if number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 2, grants Atk/Def+6 and 【Canto (1)】 to unit for 1 turn. If number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 1, grants Atk/Def+3 to unit during combat. |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Summer Ephraim are +Atk and -Spd. His Atk is very high at base 47, boosted to base 51 with a superboon. Ephraim is capable of defeating enemies in one hit, and boosting his Atk improves his odds even more.
Summer Ephraim's Spd is abysmal at base 16 and is the safest bane to take as no amount of investment will salvage his Spd.
We recommend +Atk when merging Summer Ephraim as it is his best boon to take.

Summer Ephraim's base kit is already good enough out of the box. He can perform very well on the battlefield as a bulky offensive unit with it.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Summer Ephraim is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Summer Ephraim's Seafoam Splitter is a powerful axe, turning him into a 4-move cavalry unit similar to metagame powerhouses Legendary Sigurd and Brave Seliph.
In addition to the bonus movement, Seafoam Splitter grants Summer Ephraim bonus Special cooldown charges per attack, and 40% damage reduction on his foe's first attack.
Summer Ephraim is perfect for offensive team compositions, especially those reliant on triggering Galeforce.
Summer Ephraim's exclusive skill Sunlight Bangle allows Ephraim to attack twice and grants him 7 HP healing for each of his attacks. It also inflicts an Atk/Def penalty onto his foe based on distance travelled.
However, equipping this skill allows Ephraim's foe to counterattack before Ephraim makes his first attack. This drawback is fairly negligible, as Ephraim will utilize his healing per hit to recover the HP he lost from his foe's attacks anyway.
Summer Ephraim's Spd is among the lowest in the game, sitting at base 16 with a superbane.
No amount of Spd stacking will salvage his low Spd, and without a way to prevent follow-up attacks, Summer Ephraim will be taking two attacks from most of his foes.
Summer Ephraim takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
