Emblem Lyn Skills at 5★

Might: 14 Range: 2
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1).
Effective against flying foes.
At start of turn, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd+6, 【Desperation】, and 【Preempt Pulse】 to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn.
If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd = 6 + 20% of unit's Spd at start of combat, deals +7 damage (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% during combat (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and also, if decreasing the Spd difference necessary to make a follow-up attack by 25 would allow unit to trigger a follow-up attack (excluding guaranteed or prevented follow-ups), triggers 【Potent Follow X%】 during combat (if unit cannot perform follow-up and attacks twice X = 80; otherwise, X = 40).
【Preempt Pulse】
Grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before unit's first attack during combat.

Cooldown Count = 2
Boosts damage by 40% of unit's Spd when Special triggers.
If unit's Special is ready or has triggered during this combat, 【Potent Follow X%】 has triggered, and X ≤ 99, then X = 100.

If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd+7 to unit during combat, and also, if unit's Special is ready or unit's Special triggered before or during this combat, deals +5 damage during combat (except when dealing damage with area-of-effect Specials) and when unit deals damage during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. (Triggers even if 0 damage is dealt.)

At start of turn, grants Spd 【Great Talent】 +1 to unit.
After combat, if unit attacked, grants Spd 【Great Talent】 +4 to unit.
Inflicts Spd/Def-4 on foe, unit deals damage = 20% of unit's Spd (excluding area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes unit's penalties to Spd, and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat.
(This skill grants max of 【Great Talent】 +20.)

After combat, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-3 and 【Panic】 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions, and grants 【Foe Penalty Doubler】 to unit and allies in cardinal directions.
【Foe Penalty Doubler】
Inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = any current penalty on each of those stats through their next action. Calculates each stat penalty independently.

Style Effect

Astra Storm Style
Unit can attack foes within 6 spaces of unit and 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit regardless of unit's range. Unit suffers a counterattack if any of the following conditions are met: foe is armored with Range = 2, foe can counterattack regardless of unit's range, or foe's Range is the same as the distance between unit and foe.
Unit cannot move or attack structures, after-combat movement effects do not occur, and remaining movement granted from Canto is treated as 0. Skill effect's Range is treated as 2, including by skill effects determined by attack Range, like Pavise and Aegis. This Style can be used only once per turn.
【Style】
Change Style using the Style button at the bottom of the screen.
A unit's Style is only active when that unit is taking an action. When unit is equipped with a skill that has a Style, unit will not be able to use skills like Duo Skills or Harmonized Skills. Style use is disabled when unit is deployed using Pair Up or when unit is equipped with multiple skills that have a Style.

Emblem Lyn's Emblem Effect 1

Skill effect's Range is treated as 2, including by skill effects determined by attack Range, like Pavise and Aegis. This Style can be used only when unit's Range = 2, cannot be used on the first turn, and once used, cannot be used for two turns.

Emblem Lyn Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (18) HP Superbane ★★★☆☆
Atk (11) No Attack IV ★★★★★
Spd (9) Spd Boon ★★★★★
Def (7) Def Bane ★★☆☆☆
Res (9) Res Bane ★★★☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd / -Res

The best IVs for Emblem Lyn are +Spd and -Res. Spd is a superboon and boosts her already high Spd from base 48 to base 52. Boosting Spd improves her damage output from Lady's Bow's true damage effect and her follow-up potential, especially with Lady's Bow's 【Potent Follow X%】 effect.

Emblem Lyn is a frail unit and all her defensive stats are superbanes. We recommend either -Def or -Res as a bane; with a slight preference to -Res as most metagame-relevant Far Save tanks are melee units with Distant Counter effects such as Attuned Hector or Ice Tribe Fjorm.

+Spd for a +10 merge

We recommend +Spd when merging Emblem Lyn up to +10 to maximize both damage and follow-up potential.

Emblem Lyn Best Builds

Offensive Nuke Emblem Lyn

Attuned Skill Icon: -
Updated on 12/24/2024

How to Use, Explanation

This is an offensive build geared towards nuking foes from far distances. Time's Pulse 4 is used to pre-charge Astra Storm reliably, leaving 【Preempt Pulse】 to counter any Scowl effects that Emblem Lyn faces. Astra Storm Style does not disable fixed Canto, thus, Emblem Sigurd provides post-combat mobility without sacrificing offensive power.

Anti-Sustain Nuke Emblem Lyn

How to Use, Explanation

This is similar to the above build, but with Fatal Smoke 4 to prevent enemy units from healing before, during, and after combat, and to disable Miracle effects, allowing Emblem Lyn to snipe down enemies with high sustain.

Emblem Lyn is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Emblem Lyn Strengths

Lady's Bow grants Special skipping and a Potent Follow-Up

Emblem Lyn Attack Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Emblem Lyn's exclusive weapon Lady's Bow grants Atk/Spd+6, 【Desperation】, and 【Preempt Pulse】 to Lyn and nearby allies at the start of each turn.

【Preempt Pulse】 is a Special skipping effect that reduces Special cooldown by 1 before the unit's first attack in combat, bypassing Guard effects and speeding up Special use.

In combat, Lady's Bow grants Emblem Lyn Atk/Spd bonuses equal to 6 plus 20% of her Spd at the start of combat, +7 bonus true damage per attack, and a 50% damage reduction piercing effect.

More importantly, Lady's Bow grants Emblem Lyn a Potent Follow-Up attack if she outspeeds her foe after modifying the follow-up check by -25. This effect allows Lyn to attack twice if she is outsped by her foe, or three times if she outspeeds her foe and is able to create a natural follow-up attack.

Lady's Bow provides unique support with 【Preempt Pulse】 and has great offensive power with its 【Potent Follow X%】 effect.

Astra Storm maximizes Potent Follow-Up damage

Emblem Lyn's exclusive Special Astra Storm only has 2 cooldown (1 after Lady's Bow's accelerated trigger) and can be pre-charged with her 【Preempt Pulse】 effect, making it an easy Special to activate.

When Astra Storm triggers, Emblem Lyn's damage is boosted by 40% of her Spd.

Additionally, if Emblem Lyn's Special is ready or has triggered, and 【Potent Follow X%】 has triggered, the value of X is set at 100%. This makes Lyn's Potent Follow-Up attacks deal full damage instead of the reduced damage that it would normally give.

Attacks up to 6 spaces away with Astra Storm Style

Emblem Lyn Style Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

The best effect of Astra Storm, however, is access to Astra Storm Style.

【Style】 effects are manually activated by the player using the Style button and change how Emblem Lyn attacks.

Astra Storm Style in particular allows Emblem Lyn to attack foes within 6 spaces of Lyn and 3 rows or 3 columns centered on Lyn regardless of Lyn's range once per turn.

This effect allows Emblem Lyn to function similar to ballista units from mainline Fire Emblem games, picking off enemy units from far distances before they can even reach the party.

However, using Astra Storm Style has its drawbacks. Emblem Lyn's foe can counterattack if he/she is a ranged armor unit, has a Distant Counter effect, or is within striking distance of a normal attack. Emblem Lyn also cannot attack structures using Astra Storm Style.

More importantly, using Astra Storm Style significantly restricts Emblem Lyn's movement. She cannot move when using Astra Storm Style, and Canto's value is set to zero, in cases where Emblem Lyn receives Canto.

Emblem Ring effect allows ranged ally to attack up to 5 spaces away

Emblem Lyn's Emblem ring effect boosts Special damage by the unit's maximum Special cooldown count x4.

More importantly, if the Engaged unit is a ranged unit, Emblem Lyn's Emblem ring effect grants a slightly different version of Astra Storm Style to the Engaged unit.

The Engaged unit can use Emblem Lyn Style, which is basically Astra Storm Style but with a lower attack range (up to 5 spaces away), has a two turn cooldown upon use, and cannot be used on the first turn.

With this Emblem ring effect, any ranged unit can function as a ballista unit and snipe down enemy foes from considerable distances.

Worth noting, not all Canto effects are rendered useless by Emblem Lyn's Emblem ring effect.

Canto (Rem.)'s value is set to zero. This means any 【Canto (Rem.)】 effects without a set value are immediately set to zero, while 【Canto (Rem. +1)】 (from tier 4 Trace skills for example) or any 【Canto】 effect with a fixed value remains at that fixed value. This includes 【Canto】 effects from skills like Lookout Force or Far Trace Echo.

Emblem Lyn Weaknesses

Reliance on Desperation

Emblem Lyn heavily relies on the 【Desperation】 effect granted by Lady's Bow to nuke down her foes without fear of retaliation due to her lack of overall bulk.

Players should expect metagame Far Save units like Ice Tribe Fjorm to equip the Hardy Bearing 3 Sacred Seal and protect themselves against Emblem Lyn's attacks, especially from Astra Storm Style.

Restricts movement when using Astra Storm Style

As mentioned above, using Astra Storm Style prevents Emblem Lyn from moving before combat, and sets Canto (Rem.) value to zero in cases where she is given Canto.

Caution should be exercised when using Astra Storm Style, as it leaves Emblem Lyn open to attack if enemies are able to approach.

Emblem Lyn as a Source Hero

Emblem Lyn Avatar

Value of Skills ★★★★★

Emblem Lyn has Atk/Spd Finish 4, Speedtaker 4, and Panic Smoke 4 as inheritable options.

Speedtaker 4 is new to the game as of the time of Emblem Lyn's release. However, Emblem Lyn is an incredibly powerful hero, and her Emblem ring effect is one of the best in the game.

We heavily recommend keeping at least one copy of Emblem Lyn in your barracks.
