Idunn's best IVs are +Res and -Spd. With a super boon in Res, an asset in this stat gives Idunn +4 Res, making her an incredible magic wall. As a bane, HP or Spd are ideal. A Spd bane will increase the follow-up attacks she receives, but speed up her special cooldown quicker.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses Near Save to protect Idunn's allies from melee attacks. Dragon Wall is used to reduce incoming damage, while Quick Riposte provides a guaranteed follow-up attack.

How to Use, Explanation

This build revolves around inheriting Distant Counter so Idunn can counterattack from any range. With Bold Fighter in the B slot, Idunn can get guaranteed follow-up attacks when initiating combat, and through Quick Riposte, when the foe initiates combat as well. In the C slot, we chose Armor March to raise her mobility.

Idunn is a non-ranged (Range = 1) magic attacker. Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Idunn's unique weapon Demonic Breath provides some useful effects that function both offensively and defensively.

Can play a support role in a Dragon party

Even among other armored manaketes, Idunn is exceptionally powerful, and she can excel as a pivotal member in both all armor or all dragon teams. Since she learns Ward Dragons by default, she can easily buff the defensive power of other dragons in her team to play a support role.

Bold Fighter and Vengeful Fighter are both very powerful on Idunn!

As an armor unit, equipping skills like Bold Fighter and Quick Riposte as Sacred Seals will allow her to gain follow-up attacks regardless of who initiates combat. However, Bold Fighter is quite a high investment skill, and Vengeful Fighter alone is quite powerful as is, so do not waste extremely valuable skills unless necessary.

Works well with teammates who have movement skills

In a Dragon party, Idunn will often be slowed by her low mobility, so having a teammate with Armor March or Guidance on the same team will make it easier for her to get up and close to the foes. Guidance is also available as a Sacred Seal.

Idunn Weaknesses

Watch out for enemy follow-up attacks! Do not overestimate her defensive power

Although Idunn's defensive stats are very high, her Spd is slow, meaning she will often take follow-up attacks, and if taken from a blue unit, that damage will add up quickly. In particular, Idunn does not have Distant Counter by default, so a speedy blue ranged unit can deal plenty of damage to Idunn. Units like Micaiah who have effective weapons, and speedy attackers like Ishtar are equipped to take Idunn down, so know your enemy's unit types, and let her allies take out foes she struggles with.

Units that can boost Idunn's mobility

Idunn is an armored unit, so naturally she can only move one space per action. A unit with Armor March can assist her with this, as well as other skills such as Guidance. Having a refresher unit on your team will always be a plus for Idunn.

Units who can effectively take down blue attackers

Despite her high defensive stats, one powerful attack from a blue unit can sometimes be enough to take Idunn down. Heavy hitting units like Ophelia can OHKO Idunn, so pair her with a strong green unit like Nagi to take care of this type of enemy for her.
