Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Res

The best IVs for Lyn are +Atk and -Res. A higher Atk stat allows Lyn to easily defeat enemies easily as she depends on Sol Katti for follow-up attacks. Taking a bane in Res would balance her defenses as it is higher than her Def. This allows here to take on a wide variety of foes. If you are not planning on refining Sol Katti, +Spd may be the better IV.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Lyn to 10, as her Atk is quite low for an offensive unit. Having a higher Atk means that you can fully utilize the effect of Sol Katti's guaranteed follow-up attacks.

How to Use, Explanation

A high budget build that aims to spam Luna. Through increasing the number of attacks she can dish out and accelerating her Special activations through Special Spiral 3 and Flashing Blade 3. Get the Special effect refine if you can so that you can score follow-up attacks even on enemies that are faster than Lyn!

How to Use, Explanation

This build aims to maximize Atk/Spd to attempt sweeps with Sol Katti's effect. Atk/Spd Push 4 inflicts damage to Lyn, so she'll be able to go to Brazen and Wrath 3 HP ranges easily. Reciprocal AId can also be an option when tyring to go to specific HP ranges. Get the Special refine if you can! Its effect also relies on being in low HP ranges.

How to Use, Explanation

A super budget build for Lyn. Fury 3 is very available, and thanks to its self-inflicted damage, you can easily trigger Escape Route 3 for easy escapes. The self-inflicted damage also makes Brazen Atk/Spd 3 easy to use.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Sol Katti

Sol Katti allows Lyn to make a guaranteed follow-up attack when Lyn's HP ≤ 75%. This can be tricky to activate, but it is especially powerful when taking into consideration that Lyn's other skill effects also boost her firepower when below a certain HP%.

Lyn is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Lyn Strengths

Access to Resplendent Attire

Lyn has access to Resplendent Attire that will boost all her stats by +2. To get her Resplendent Attire, you must have purchased a FEH Pass when it was being distributed. Additionally, you can pay for it if you currently have access to a FEH Pass.

Immediate Folow-Up Attack When Below 50% HP

Lyn's exclusive weapon, Sol Katti, allows Lyn to execute follow-up attacks before the enemy can counterattack. This is not a guaranteed follow-up attack, as Lyn still needs to meet the Spd requirement. However, this can allow Lyn to take out a lot of enemies before they get a chance to retaliate, as she gets +7 Atk from Defiant Atk 3 which has same the same trigger conditions.

Sol Katti's Special Refinement Effect

Sol Katti when refined improves its trigger conditions from requiring 50% HP or below to 75% HP below. It also makes it a guaranteed follow-up, which makes a huge difference. If Lyn is currently taking buffs from allies or if Defiant Atk 3 is activated, she can make for a powerful attacker in those situations.

Galeforce Grants Additional Actions

Lyn's native special, Galeforce, allows an additional action after combat when it activates. It is versatile as you can use it to retreat into the safe zone immediately after attacking you can make another attack to deal more damage. If enemies are bundled up, Lyn can take down multiple foes in one turn without needing a refresher-assist ally.

Lyn Weaknesses

Low Atk and Def

Lyn has low Atk and Def stats which makes it hard for her to take out units with high Def. She also is not good at taking counterattacks from her fellow melee units. If her HP is not in range to trigger Sol Katti and Defiant Atk 3 yet, she will need to depend on buffs for her to deal a good amount of damage.

Depends on Low HP for Offensive Power

Lyn shines most when she is at half HP or below as those are the trigger conditions for both Sol Katti and Defiant Atk 3. Her firepower in these situations is amazing but it is risky as a single counterattack can take her out. We recommend using Reciprocal Aid to bring down Lyn's HP to low levels without being in a compromising position.

Characters with reliable buffs and refresher-assist skills

Lyn, whether or not Sol Katti and Defiant Atk 3 is activated, still relies on buffs to deal damage as her Atk is not the best. Some good examples would be L!Azura's Prayer Wheel, which grants a bonus to all stats equal to his highest active bonus, or Kaden's Kitsune Fang, which doubles the bonuses on the unit in combat if they are within 2 spaces of him. Another example would be L!Eliwood and his buff or assist skills.

Characters who can deal with blue units

Lyn, being a red unit, cannot easily deal with blue units. Make sure to pair her up with powerful green units such as Surtrーa powerful physical unitーor Thrasir, whose magic attacks can take out units with high Def.

Characters that can reduce Lyn's HP without compromising her position

Lyn's trigger conditions revolve around being in certain HP%'s so if you have Lif or Fallen Berkut who can reduce her HP in an uncompromising position, you can integrate them into her teams.

Hard hitting attackers

Lyn's overall durability is low and half of the time, she will be in low HP levels as to try and deal more damage. Because of this, high-powered attackers can easily take her out if she is in a compromising position. Pay attention to blue units, especially those who can attack twice such as Reinhardt.

Characters with high durability

Lyn has low Atk and depends on certain trigger conditions and buffs from allies to deal a lot of damage. In most situations, she cannot take many of the durable units in one turn making her susceptible to counterattacks or attacks in the enemy phase that will surely be able to take her out because of her somewhat low Def.
