Difficulty Setting and Differences

Story A mode for players who don't usually play action games, want to breeze through battles, and are looking to enjoy the story.
Action A mode for players who are familiar with action games and enjoy challenging battles.
Hard A mode for players who excel at action games and wish to engage in brutal battles.

Familiarize yourself with the differences of each difficulty setting, and if by some off-chance you're still having trouble, just change difficulties from the World Map!

The Soul Shield is a form of protection that allows you to block enemy attacks and gain MP or Instant Abilities. Time it right, and you can set up counterattacks!

Unlocking CHAOS Difficulty

CHAOS Difficulty is a special post-game difficulty that aims to give players who have already finished the story and want to seek even more daunting challenges. On this difficulty you can spend Anima Crystals to raise the mission level. Doing so will allow you to earn rare and more powerful weapons and armor.
