Gauge Breaker Build

Stranger of Paradise - Gauge Breaker
The focus of this build is centered around the use of the abilities for the Job that present enemies with sgnificant damages against their BreakGauges. Any of the weapon types can be used for this build, though we would recommend the use of daggers if only for their speed and ease of use.

  • Jubaku: Extends the duration of status ailments against an enemy, while also debuffing them with every attack.
  • Lunatic: Increases the player's attack speed, but at the cost of disabling automatic break gauge regeneration.
  • Blood Weapon: Lets players regain HP based on the damage dealt against enemies while the buff is active. Useful when used alongside Daggers to quickly replenish HP.

Best Passives and Effects
Status Ailment Accumulation +12.2%Status Ailment Accumulation +12.2% Glorious BladeGlorious Blade Ability Break Damage +2.6%Ability Break Damage +2.6%
  • Status Ailment Accumulation +12.2%: Increases the accumulation rate of enemies when they are being faced with attacks that are imbued with certain Status Aiments. Used along Jubaku, this allows the players to keep enemies weakened for as long as possible while also gradually removing them as a threat due to debuffs.
  • Glorious Blade: Critical hits against an enemy will reduce their max break gauge.
  • Ability Break Damage +2.6%: All ability attacks will deal more enemy break gauge damage.

Recommended Equipment Effects

Equipment Effects
・MP Recovery Rate with Normal Attacks ( + )
・Status Ailment Accumulation ( + )
・Physical Damage Dealt ( + )
・Critical Damage Dealt ( + )

Although not intensive on the use of MP, you may require at least half of a full set of gauges in order to make use of the useful Command Abilities for this build. Since this build is also predicated around Critical Damage with some after effects of Status Accumulation, it would be useful to pick up stat bonuses for those two things through Equipment Effects as well.

I can't use those ninja skills with daggers. it only allows me to assign them when using swords. Am I missing something?
