During Phase 1, Astos will be teleporting across the map a lot. His speed around the battlefield combined with the speed of his attacks and spells make him a very slippery opponent.
The utility of activating Resonance in this fight cannot be understated. You will need your team's help dealing damage as well as drawing aggro as his teleporting diminishes the fact that it's a 3 versus 1 fight.
Astos is resistant to a number of attacks so physical damage can only get you so far. In conjunction with the previous tip, wait until Astos is distracted by your team and go for critical hits when he turns around to inflict good damage.
During Phase 2, Astos takes the form of Ultima Weapon Origin. This form has attacks that deal absurd damage both physical and magical so anytime you see it begin an animation, wait for it to finish before going in for another attack.
