Black Battle Mage Build

The Black Mage Job is a particularly versatile Job in terms of abilities that you can roll out with it. The Job is capable of dealing element-based Magical Attacks, supported in part by Melee capabilities that allow it to naturally produce MP, a resource that the Job is particularly dependent on.

Although you can choose different playstyles with this build, going in aggressive is the best way to go against enemies with Black Mage – weaken foes with elemental attacks to exploit their weaknesses, and then dive in for melee hits for easy kills and MP replenishment.

Seal of Blood	Reinforce	Ruin

• Seal of Blood: Increases the damage dealt by anya bility used. Perfect to use in conjunction with Black Magic.
• Reinforce: Decreases the possibility of being staggered by enemy attacks – also reduces the amount of time needed to "charge" attacks. Applicable to Black Magic when casting a spell. Unlocked in the Swordsman Job Tree.
• Ruin: Ability unlocked in the Mage Job Tree. Sends a non-elemental magic attack directly in front of the player, sending enemies flying.

Elemental Expert	Solid Strike	Black Magic Mastery

• Elemental Expert: Enhances abilities set to the second combo ability Link (Frost Swing in this instance). Refills the break gauge based on magic damage dealt.
• Solid Strike: Enhances abilities set to the third ability Link (Solild Strike). Increases magic damage dealt.
• Black Magic Mastery: Unlocks a new black magic spell called meteor. The use of this ability will drastically reduce a player's max HP.

Recommended Equipment Effects

This build is very MP reliant, in the sense that it requires plentiful amounts of MP in order for players to use multiple combos against enemies. As such, boosting MP replenishment through normal attacks on top of buffing Magical Damage is a priority for Equipment Effects needed.

Basic Info	The Dragoon is a master of evasion and heavy damage. This job class allows you to jump high in the air to evade enemy attacks and then land on the enemy dealing greater damage.

Although the Black Mage is already a powerful Job in its own right, switching over to Dragoon can help to provide players with an added melee benefit that they can use as their "trump card".

The Dragoon can clear through scores of enemies due to its powerful attacks that can easily break enemy Break Gauges due to several buffs that its abilities bring to the race.

Basic Info	The Knight is an advanced job. Knights use their ability Blessing of Light to unleash a shockwave of light that damages enemies whenever a successful guard is completed.

For players who don't wish to depart from having their shield around for defensive situations, the Knight is a solid Job that players can switch over to.

Although not particularly powerful at first glance, the Knight feels and behaves like a prototypical "Knight" in the sense that it excels in its abilities when making heavy use of a sword and shield combo. Hit your enemies with elemental attacks for critical hits against their weakness, switch to the Knight, bait out their attacks and strike back for quick and easy kills.
