Info	The Monk is a combination of the Pugilist and the Lancer. A specialized hand-to-hand combatant; the Monk has the ability to recover HP and refill their break gauge at the cost of MP.
Job Action	Focus: Hold Ability to recover HP and refill your break gauge at the cost of MP. In addition, sustaining this ability long enough will also grant you a temporary increase in the amount of break damage dealt to enemies.

Monk Tips & How to Use

Close-ranged Fistfight

Though the Monk can equip both the Mace and Knuckles, we recommend choosing the Knuckles over the Mace for close range combat. This is because of the advantage of the Knuckles' attack speed over the Mace's damage output.

Mid-ranged Attacker

In mid-range, you can strike enemies with a Lance and keep a safe distance from their close-range attacks. Though it cannot hurl the Lance the same way a Lancer does, it can perform a rapidfire thrusting attack that can stagger enemies before they can close the distance between you two.

How to Unlock Monk

Unlocked from Basic Jobs

The Monk is available once you unlock its corresponding nodes from the end of its pre-requisite jobs.

Pre-Requisite Jobs:
Pugilist	Lancer

The Monk is unlocked after purchasing the Monk Node on both the Pugilist and the Lancer job trees.

Damage Dealt at Max Break +2.2%	Increases damage dealt when break gauge is full.
Damage Dealt at Max Break +4.0%	increases damage deal when break gauge is full.
Focus Mastery	Focus will now grant up to three levels of buffs status.
Monk Affinity +10%	Increases monk job affinity.
Monk Affinity +15%	Increases monk job affinity.
Monk Affinity +25%	Increases monk job affinity.
