Schemes of the Past Walkthrough and Rewards
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | ・Get the White Card Key There are two primary enemies that need to be beat for this Side Mission: a Malboro Menace and a Hill Gigas. To get to them, you'll need to first get a White Card Key. Move down the path up ahead and follow the catwalks until you reach an area where there'll be a ladder going up. Take the path to the left instead, and move up and down several ladders until you get to an area with two Elementals and a Piscodaemon. Defeat them, then take the White Card Key from the chest. |
2 | ・Find the Stone Corridor ・Defeat the Malboro Menace and the Hill Gigas After grabbing the key, use it on the door to the right and exit out into the next area. Drop down into the are below and then climb up the ladder on the other side, and continue climbing up and following the path until you reach a door you'll have to open with the card. You'll be led back to the entrance section of this entire area – head frowards and into the Stone Corridor right ahead of you, and then take a left. From here on out, simply follow the linear path until you reach the Gigas and the Marlboro at the very end. |
Attacking both the Hill Gigas and the Malboro Menace from the front is a bad way of dealing the two creatures damage, as most physical attacks from this frontal area will get resisted. Try and maneuver around to their back, particularly in instances where they will engage your party with attacks that will leave their backs unguarded.
Jobs that have fast attack speeds or have good balance between attack speed and attack power, such as Assassin or Liberator respectively. This will help bump up your criticals against these creatures, which not only takes chunks of their HP at a time, but their Break Gauge as well.
