Memories of Poison Walkthrough

Objectives

Memories of Poison - Turn Left at the Fork
・Climb up the rope
・Destroy the flower
Continue along the path until you reach the fork, and go left. Climb up the rope. At the river, turn right and continue ahead to Bandits' Copse. Go straight ahead, and at the end, destroy the flower on the left. Break the gate blocking the way on the left to proceed through.

Memories of Poison - Turn Left Again
・Get through the maze
・Destroy another flower
At the fork, go left, then left again, then take a hard right. Go straight ahead to the end and you'll find a Malboro. Either defeat it or continue ahead and destroy the flower, then break the gate to go through.

Memories of Poison - One More Left
・Destroy a third flower
At the fork, go left. (If you go right here, you can lower a rope to get back to a previous set of cubes and heal.)

Ahead, in Judgment Knoll, turn left. Defeat or go past the Malboro and destroy the flower. Break the gate and go through.

Memories of Poison - Go into the Tunnel
・Continue into the cave
Ahead, go right at the scenic view of the volcano. Go straight ahead down into the Cave of Dying Light.
You don't have to destroy the flower and gate here, but if you do, you'll make a shortcut back to the last area.

Memories of Poison - Fight the Great Malboro
・Fight the Great Malboro
Turn left at the bottom and drop down. Get past the Malboro and go up the hill on the right. Continue ahead to the cubes and go through. Drop down to start the boss fight with Great Malboro.

Sneak Up Behind Malboros

Memories of Poison - Malboro Critical Hits

The Malboro has a large back which is vulnerable to Critical hits. Slash away at it before it starts responding and you can take out a chunk of its health before having to start engaging in real battle. It's also weak to Holy, so if you have a class which can inflict Holy damage with its weapon like the Paladin, even better.

Equip Chakra

Memories of Poison - Unlock Chakra

Chakra is a Command Ability in the Monk Job Tree which allows you to cure all status ailments and increase your resistance to them. It can even be used when Silenced. Since many of the enemies in this level induce status effects, especially Malboros and Great Malboros, having this equipped in a Command slot will help clear up any statuses right away.
