New March 9 Demo Guide and Release Date | Does Progress Carry Over?

Demo Release Date

Demo Available Now (March 9 10:00 PM EST)

In the State of Play on March 9th, as well as Square Enix's latest blog, a new demo was announced to be released for players who are just dying to play the newest Final Fantasy game, Stranger of Paradise.

Although the demo took some time to drop after the announcement, it became available in the PlayStation Store as of 9:00 PM EST on March 9th.

Availability Period

According to the Playstation Store the demo version of the game will only be available for a limited time period.

How to Download the Demo

1	Go over to your Playstation Store.
2	Search for "Stranger of Paradise".
3	Select either the Digital Standard version.
4	Scroll down until you see the Demo Version in the store page.
5	Select the Demo Version, download it and play on!

The demo will be around 18 GB for the PS4, and a whopping 35.7 GB for the PS5.

Players are encouraged to play the demo as heavily and as many times as they want because all progress, loot, and experience will be carried over to the main game when you purchase it, or when it unlocks if you pre-ordered!

Available Platforms: Is the Demo on PS4 and PS5?

According to Square Enix, the demo will be made available for all consoles. This means that both the PS4 and PS5, as well as the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, will be able to enjoy the demo starting March 10th. PC Players will have to take a seat as there is no confirmation of a demo version for the PC.

The demo will let you play the first three missions of the game! The length of the actual playtime of the demo will be dependent on how much you want to explore and familiarize yourself with the gameplay.

Chaos Shrine

Explore the shadows of the Chaos Shrine and come face to face with Bombs, Goblins, and perhaps even a deadly Tonberry!

Pravoka Seagrot

In the caves of Pravoka, you'll find a pirate ship hidden inside a cave where you'll have to fend of bloodthirsty pirates and axe-weilding Pirate Captain Bikke! You may want to dodge his giant axe.

The Western Keep

Then you'll go over to the Western Keep, an ancient and desolate castle. Ballistas are stationed throughout the battlements, so be wary of any giant arrows coming your way!
