A build that utilizes the charged attacks and combos of the Marauder. This is possible with the aid of Reinforce, the Swordsman's command ability. Using this command ability decreases the charge time of your attacks, turning them into quick and devastating attacks that can easily shred break gauges and enemy HP bars.

  • Reinforce: A key Command Abiity that decreases your charge times during the buff's duration. This is great for Marauder as their axe combos can seamlessly switch between charged and uncharged attacks.
  • Swayback: This solid and reliable defensive Command Ability lets you perform a quick dodge while simultaneously refreshing your entire break gauge. MP is never an issue with this build as the Marauder's combos fill your MP bar easily when used well.
  • Blood Weapon: This is another great Command Ability that lets you sustain your HP as you maintain the offensive. Blood Weapon regenerates your HP based on damage you deal for the entire buff duration, making it the perfect defensive ability for aggressive jobs such as Marauders.

  • Arcane Axe: This is a great Combo Ability Effect to grab as soon as possible because it lets you regenerate HP with your forward attack combo. We recommend using Upheaval for this combo slot as it is the more efficient choice over Sundering Blow most of the time. It also lets you inflict a status ailment that decreases the target's damage output.
  • Shielding Axe: Shielding Axe decreases the incoming damage you take as you charge your Link 3 Combo Ability. This makes it relatively safer to fully charge Brutal Tackle.
  • Ability Break Damage +7.0%: A straightforward buff that improves your break gauge damage. This is instrumental in boss fights and other tough enemies as you can deplete their break gauges a lot easier.

This equipment effect setup offers straightforward benefits to a surprisingly simple job. The goal of this Marauder build is to overwhelm enemies with its high damage output and break gauge depletion efficiency. Pumping your physical and break damage, while increasing the MP recovery rate through normal attacks will turn your Marauder into an unstoppable machine that can make quick work of any enemy at the early stages of the game.

Range will always be an issue with Marauders as most of its attacks only cover a short distance from it. Pairing this job with a Lancer can solve this problem with its long range and ability to throw the lance from afar.

Basic Info The Ronin is the precursor to the Samurai. The Ronin job class has the ability to charge a draw slash attack that deals heavy break damage. Fully charge this ability to increase its power.

Those who prefer more MP regeneration may opt for Ronin as a job pair. This particular job is great at restoring MP with attacks and has a few charged attacks as well. Marauder players will feel right at home as both jobs thrive on aggressive playstyles.
