As an upgraded version of the mage, the Black Mage is an excellent fighter whether it be melee or magic combat. The Black Mage has a wider arsenal of magic attacks that can scale up the longer you hold the Ability button. This job class also lets you learn the magic spell, Meteor, which causes an AoE attack that damages all enemies on the field.

You can perform combos that imbue your mace with elemental magic to deal greater break damage to enemies on impact. This will allow you to soul burst enemies much faster, which in turn will help fill up your MP faster so you can cast more powerful spells.

The Black Mage is available once you unlock its corresponding node from the end of its pre-requisite job.
