How to Beat Iron Giant

Tips and Strategies

Equip Lightning

Equip Lightning
Iron Giant is very weak against Lightning imbued weapons and abilities. Equip yourself with gear and jobs that make use of Lightning to make defeating this boss easier.

Keep a Distance

Keep a Distance
A number of AoE attacks will be present for Phase 2 of Iron Giant's attack patterns. Dragoon is a highly recommended job for this battle as its Jump is a great job action to have in this fight. Simply back off and wait for Iron Giant's attacks to finish then use Jump to get close and deal damage.

Go for the Arms

Go for the Arms
While its attacks are very strong, they are also slow so evading them and soul shielding attacks will be easy. If enough damage is dealt to its arms, Iron Giant will be staggered for a short time and your can use this window to land good damage.
