Eliminate Other Enemies First
Griffin Queens are rarely alone. Make sure you make quick work of surrounding enemies first to make the fight a lot easier. Lighbringer and other AoE abilities are great and should be used as much as possible.
Consider using Resonance so your companions use their more advanced abilities as well, clearing mobs even quicker.
Most Attacks are Blockable
With the exception of Aerial Assault, Griffon Queen's attacks can be easily Blocked, Parried, or Soul Shielded. Take advantage of this to trivialize the entire fight.
Griffon Queen Attack Patterns
Grounded Attacks
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Headbutt | Griffon Queen rams its head towards a target in front of it. Take note that this attack can be followed up by almost any attack in Griffon Queen's arsenal. |
| Swipe | Griffon Queen uses one of its arms to sweep the front, dealing heavy damage to anyone caught in the attack. This is extremely quick and can also be chained to almost every other attack. |
| Spin | Griffon Queen spins in place, damaging and launching anyone caught in a small radius around it. |
| Sonic Blade | Griffon Queen flaps both wings, sending a wide fast aerial blade that slices the target. Fortunately, this attack can be blocked with your Soul Shield. |
| Aero | Griffon Queen sends out a wind orb towards the target. This isn't as fast as Sonic Blade and can also be blocked with your Soul Shield |

With enough break gauge damage, Griffon Queen will shed its armor and obtains the ability to take flight.

| Aerial Assault | This is an unblockable attack that can result in a devastating grapple attack when it hits. Maintain your distance during Griffon Queen's flight and get ready to dodge out of the way. |
| Corkscrew | Griffon Queen corkscrews through the air towards its target. This deals high damage and can be followed-up by ground attacks. Block or dodge as necessary. |
Where to find Griffon Queen
Known Mission Locations
Griffon Queens is a boss located at the end of the Azure Memories: The Betrayer mission. This particular boss is also located in a couple of main missions as a sub-boss with the same moveset. They're either guarding certain areas or spawned via Dark Vents.
