After presenting the map to the Thousand-Year Door in the Prologue, Mario gets access to the special move Sweet Treet. This also adds a lone SP to Mario's SP gauge, allowing him to start using special moves.

Sweet Treat Action Command Timing

Tilt the L Stick Left to Hit Target

The Action Command for Sweet Treat requires the player to tilt the L Stick left to hit whatever the arrow is aiming at. The arrow will move up and down continuously until the special move runs out of time. Hitting a heart restores the corresponding character's HP by 1, while a flower restores 1 FP. Avoid the 2 Poison Mushrooms, which will stun Mario for a few seconds.
