Description Build up power and attack the leftmost grounded enemy using a hammer.

Power Smash Action Command Timing

Tilt the L Stick Left and Release Once the Star Lights Up

The Action Command for Power Smash requires the player to tilt and hold the L stick to the left. Release the L Stick once the star icon at the end lights up. This will allow Mario's hammer attack to do more damage.

Power Smash Stylish Move Timing

Press A as You Hit the Enemy and Again Each Time Mario Lands His Backflip

The Stylish Move timing for Power Smash requires the player to press the A button upon releasing the L Stick to make Mario do a backflip. Press the A button again once he lands his flip to perform another backflip. Do a third backflip by pressing the A button once he lands the previous one. Finally, press the A button upon landing the third flip to pose for his fourth and final stylish move.
