Mimir said of Olrun: "Once the daughter of a powerful chieftain, she fell defending him during a Reaver attack. Olrun was escorted to Valhalla, where she chose to devote her after-life to the pursuit of knowledge above all else. Quite unusual behavior amongst the constant drinking and feasting of her fellow Valhallian-denizens. Odin saw a kindred spirit in Olrun's single-minded pursuit of knowledge and appointed her as the Valkyrie's resident historian."

Valkyrie Olrun Fight Guide

Opening Attack

Open with a combo of Light and Runic Attacks with either runes from the Blades of Chaos and the Leviathan Axe.

Valkyrie Olrun Attack Patterns

Attack 1

Like other Valkyries, Olrun will use her wings to swipe at you either diagonally, or its variation where she spins in a cyclone. The wing swipe will usually lead into a wing stab after two swipes, so you must be prepared to evade right and strike back.

Attack 2

Olrin has a unique variation to the way other Valkyries send blade-like feathers at you – she spins in place to send them. You must block these, but be prepared for a wing stab she might perform, or another unblockable attack where she jumps up into the air and out of sight, only to land on top of you.

Attack 3

An unblockable attack that she rarely performs, you must still be wary of this due to how fast she can get from where she jumps to where you are. She will crouch low before jumping straighting up into the air where she will then land on top of you to stomp on your head.

Tips and Strategy

Olrun is a relatively fast Valkyrie, a step or two below that of Geirdriful. You must pay attention to when she dashes away, as it can difficult to keep an eye on her to see what her next attack will be. Furthermore, her wing stab attack can be confused with that of her blockable wing slashes.

Overall however, she is not a very difficult Valkyrie to defeat, particularly if you've managed to defeat Geirdriful.
