Jona Basta Review

Jona Basta is a pilot who focuses primarily on increasing the firepower of his mobile suit. Unfortunately, neither his buffs' values nor diversity are anything to be impressed about. He doesn't even provide an accuracy buff to stabilize his mobile suit's offensive capabilities. Additionally, his only buff outside melee and ranged sense improvements rely on defeating enemies. That makes it irrelevant in some PvE content, such as raids.

On top of that, a considerable chunk of his melee sense buffs require frequent use of the mobile suit's EX Skill, and his one ranged sense buff requires the extremely rare "Phoenix Hunt" unit category.

The Narrative Gundam is a support unit that grows in power as its allies are defeated. Its design somewhat clashes with Jona Basta's skills due to its lack of accelerated EX Gauge gain and its reliance on having its own allies fall.

However, it can also be interpreted as a pairing that allows scaling regardless of which side loses units. But even so, utilizing the Narrative Gundam effectively in content outside PvP is difficult.
