When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Mythic Gotoh are +Res and -Spd. As a Mythic hero, survival is essential due to not receiving Mythic blessing bonuses. Boosting Res improves Mythic Gotoh's Magic bulk, allowing him to survive repeated attacks from his foes.
Spd is a clear dump stat and should be the bane of choice.
We recommend +Res when merging Mythic Gotoh to +10 in order to excel in his Magic tank role. If opting into a more offensive role, +Atk is also a good choice.

Gotoh's base kit works well in providing support to his allies while retaining a Magic tank role. Smite is used to collect Aether resources once most of the enemies have been dealt with; if using outside Aether Raids, Draw Back or Reposition are preferred.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Mythic Gotoh is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Mythic Gotoh's Brilliant Starlight grants Def/Res+6 and 80% damage reduction against area-of-effect Specials to himself and his nearby allies at the start of each turn.
During combat, it inflicts Atk/Res-6 on his foe, neutralizes their Atk/Res Bonuses, neutralizes effects that prevent counterattacks, and restores 7 HP to himself after combat.
This is an amazing defensive weapon that protects his team from offensive foes while granting Mythic Gotoh defensive bonuses to ensure his survival in combat.
Mythic Gotoh also comes with an exclusive A skill in Gift of Magic. This skill inflicts Atk/Res-10 on his foe, grants him a guaranteed follow-up attack, and has a similar effect to refined Urvan where it grants him 80% damage reduction on consecutive attacks received after the first while forcing his foe to make all of his/her attacks consecutively.
Brave Ike is a formidable tank unit due to refined Urvan, and Gift of Magic is no different. This skill makes Mythic Gotoh a very bulky unit that will take significant effort to take down.
The damage reduction sources in Mythic Gotoh's kit are all non-Special, which makes piercing effects from skills like Lethality and Deadeye threatening to his survival.
Keep Mythic Gotoh away from units with this effect in order to keep him alive.

I was hoping for recent build suggestions for this hero. 😞 Given the prevalence of emblem Sigurd on AR-D squads, he seems he could be more useful in the current meta, but i know he would need newer skills, most likely (esp flat DR, since the pierceable DR is listed as his weakness. I'm just not sure what would work. LF4, maybe? Except that being his only DR may not be that useful, idk). I guess if there was anything that could make him meta relevant, u would have an updated build 🤷🏼♂️
