---|---|---|
HP (18) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Atk (19) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (6) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Def (9) | ★★★★☆ | |
Res (7) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Spring Xander are +Atk and -Res. This helps him increase the amount of damage he deals per attack. Additionally, it is a superboon so you should take advantage of it as much as possible. His Res if of less importance so it can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Spring Xander to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. Though we must warn you that even with this IV, Xander's offensive performance will not be great. If you prefer a supporting Xander that is more durable, you can go for a +Def or +Spd IV instead.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Spring Xander is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Spring Xander's exclusive weapon, Carrot Lance+, heals him for 4 HP after he attacks an enemy. When paired-up with allies that can take him out of the danger zone before the enemy phase starts, he makes for a very sustainable unit.
Spring Xander's unique skill, Live for Honor, allows the summoner to get 1.5x the number of badges he normally gets in the training tower provided that Xander survives the map. Consider him for a slot in your training team as badges are very important in the long run!
Even if Spring Xander is at a high investment, he would not be a reliable hero of choice for a main offensive unit. His only real option in offense is inheriting Sapphire Lance+ and specializing on taking out red units. However, even this build is very niche.
Red Tome Eirika | Valentine's Titania | Reinhardt | Cecilia |
Green Tome Olwen | Brave Lyn | Maribelle | Veronica |
Since Spring Xander is a cavalry unit, he benefits from skills like Hone Cavalry. Xander also greatly benefits from Reyson and Leanne who both have Sing. He is a cavalry unit that can move 3 squares per action so Sing makes him extremely mobile. This allows him to move in and out of the danger zone or attack multiple enemies in the same turn.
Clair | Micaiah | Ursula | Legendary Hector |
Nino | Rhajat | Robin (F) | Fallen Robin (M) |
Be wary of Xander's positioning in relation to units that possess Cavalry-effective damage like Micaiah and Rhajat. Use Xander's great mobility to position himself away from foes like them who can take him out easily.

I have hidden an egg for you to find, {Summoner}. Now, try your best to locate the— What? You think it’s in the hand behind my back? Hmm. You are correct. I should have known that I couldn’t outwit you, Summoner. Maybe you will be impressed by how I painted this egg. On this side is the symbol of Nohr. Beside it is the symbol of the Order of Heroes. Thus, this egg represents our friendship, created in the spring and strengthened in battle. Now, you should be careful with this egg, taking great care never to break it. Other painted eggs may be made to be rolled through grass in festival games… But not this one. |
