What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants additional mobility to unit, grants bonus stats and damage reduction to unit during combat, neutralizes effects that slow down unit's Special cooldown charges, and grants 7 HP healing for each of unit's follow-up attacks. ・Exclusive A skill grants bonus stats and a guaranteed follow-up attack to unit, denies foe's follow-up attack, neutralizes foe's non-Special damage reduction skills, and can trigger a Potent follow-up. |
Might: 14 Range: 2 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If unit is on a team with unit's support partner, unit can move to a space within 2 spaces of any support partner within 3 spaces of unit. If unit is not on a team with their support partner, at start of turn, unit can move 1 extra space (that turn only; does not stack). If unit initiates combat or foe's Range = 2, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+X to unit during combat (X = 25% of foe's Atk at start of combat - 4; max 14, min 5), neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit, reduces damage from attacks during combat by percentage = 20 + number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat (max 5) x 10 (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and if unit deals damage with follow-up attack, restores 7 HP to unit (triggers even if 0 damage is dealt). |
Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+9 to unit during combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, foe cannot make a follow-up attack, and also, when unit performs a follow-up attack, neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" effects from foe's non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25% and if decreasing the Spd difference necessary to make a follow-up attack by 25 would allow unit to trigger a follow-up attack (excluding guaranteed or prevented follow-ups), triggers 【Potent Follow X%】 during combat (if unit cannot perform follow-up and attacks twice, X = 80; otherwise, X = 40). 【Potent Follow X%】 Triggers an additional follow-up attack immediately after unit's standard follow-up attack and deals damage = X% of unit's normal attack damage (if unit cannot make a follow-up attack, this effect triggers when the standard follow-up attack would occur; this effect is treated like a follow-up attack, so effects like "reduce damage by X%" still apply, but this effect is not affected by effects that prevent follow-ups or "attacks twice" effects; only highest value applied; does not stack). |
Enables 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】. Inflicts Atk/Res-4 on foe during combat and unit deals +7 damage including when dealing damage with a Special triggered before combat. 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】 After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move spaces = any movement not already used that turn (min 1; if unit used a movement skill that warped them, its remaining movement is 1). |
If unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-5 on foe and neutralizes foe's bonuses (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat, and after combat, deals 7 damage to target and foes within 2 spaces of target and applies 【Divine Vein (Haze)】 on target's space and on each space within 2 spaces of target space for 1 turn. 【Divine Vein (Haze)】 Applies the following effects on space: Inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-5 on foe and neutralizes foe's bonuses (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat. (Divine Vein effects do not stack; replaces any existing Divine Vein effect; Divine Vein effects applied simultaneously cancel each other out.) |
Infantry and flying allies within 2 spaces can move to a space within 2 spaces of unit. |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Atk (8) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (4) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Def (11) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Res (8) | ★★★☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Ivy are +Atk and -Def. Atk is a superboon and boosts Ivy's already high Atk stat from base 47 to base 51, increasing her nuking potential.
While Ivy's Spd is average at base 34, Spd isn't a big concern especially since Obsession grants a Potent follow-up attack.
Ivy's Def is her least important stat at only base 26 and is a safe bane to take as reducing it will not impact any of her matchups.
We recommend +Atk when merging Ivy up to +10 to maximize her nuking power and defeat a wider range of enemies in one round of combat.

Ivy's base kit already functions well in performing an offensive role while retaining mobility for her team. Soaring Echo negates the need for Guidance 4 or Soaring Guidance on her C slot, opening it up for Deadly Miasma or any other skill she wants to equip.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Ivy is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Ivy's exclusive blue tome Icebound Tome grants Ivy bonus mobility depending on her allies for the map:
In combat, Icebound Tome grants Ivy Atk/Spd/Def/Res+X, where X is 25% of her foe's Atk -4 (min 5; max 14), neutralizes effects that slow down her Special charges, and grants Ivy percentage damage reduction equal to 20 plus the number of spaces moved by the initiator x 10, with a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 70% damage reduction in total.
Finally, Icebound Tome heals Ivy 7 HP for each of her follow-up attacks, providing a small amount of sustain to keep her healthy.
Ivy's exclusive A skill Obsession grants multiple effects that swing combat in her favor.
To start, Obsession grants Ivy Atk/Spd/Def/Res+9 and a guaranteed follow-up attack during combat, and denies her foe's follow-up attack, while also neutralizing her foe's percentage-based non-Special damage reduction effects.
More importantly, Obsession grants Ivy 【Potent Follow X%】 if Ivy meets the modified Spd check.
Even though Ivy's Spd stat is average at only base 34, Obsession's guaranteed and Potent follow-up attacks provide enough offense to remain relevant, while excelling if Ivy outspeeds her foe, allowing her to attack up to three times in one combat.
As a flying unit, Ivy takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

Ivy has A/R Far Trace 4, Deadly Miasma, and Soaring Echo as valuable inheritance options.
Soaring Echo is an Attuned Skill; it should be the priority skill to inherit from every copy of Ivy you have. It is possible to inherit multiple skills at once with one copy of Ivy, so try to find room to inherit Soaring Echo as well.
As an Attuned hero, Ivy will not disappear from your barracks upon using her as inheritance fodder once.

I really wish i could understand the obsession skill's speed check. This just copied what the game says, but it seems worded so oddly, & i don't understand it. If the opponent's speed is lessened by 25, & Ivy's speed is still 5 higher than theirs, she gets a 3rd attack, is that what it's saying? If nothing else, can you give examples of the types if heroes she usually won't get a 3rd attack against? Is it just heroes with really high speed?
