Upon catching sight of you, Doppel Pools will begin to split itself apart into becoming three copies of itself. These three forms will be quite tricky to fight, as they can multiply once again once their numbers dwindle unless you manage to weaken the original.

Although rather weak, the Vomit Attack of a Doppel Pool can quickly overwhelm you if you allow all three of the Doppels, if they have managed to multiply, to attack you all at once. It is best to keep moving to avoid these attacks.

Doppel Pools can quickly be stopped by simply vanquishing the original. Sorting through the copies to find the original can be quite tricky, but one fast way is by simply keeping a lock on a Doppel Pool as soon as you spot it.
Alternatively, you can use Clairvoyance to spot the original. Attacking it while using Clairvoyance makes the copies dissipate, allowing you to defeat the original easier.

If Claivoyance is unavailable, one quick way to deal with a group of Doppel Pools is by using Pyrokinesis. This will help to quickly deplete the enemy's HP, allowing for faster fights.

Using Pyrokinesis also has the added benefit of allowing you to deplete the enemy's Crush Gauge much faster. Once you have managed to deplete it, you can use Brain Crush to quickly defeat the original Doppel Pool, which will also gets rid of its copies.
