Replenish on Meat Buns During Battle
While it is easy to get lost on the offense of the game, survivability should also be prioritized. Collect all the Meat Buns you can that are dropped by defeated enemy officers and are inside Meat Bun Pots within bases throughout the map.
Unlock Skills For Meat Buns
Prioritize on unlocking Meat Bun Glutton to be able to hold more Meat Buns, Greater Gratification to boost the health recovery of Meat Buns, and finally Meat Perceiver in order to see Meat Bun locations on the map. These skills make all the difference, especially the further along you are in the game.
Dodge More Instead of Guarding

If you are prone to guarding by instinct, practice dodging more, especially when fighting against officers and bosses. Some attacks are hard to guard against, while dodging is always reliable to do.
Equip Special Battle Arts
Special Battle Arts can be used against enemy officers when they are preparing to unleash a powerful attack, indicated by an orange glow. Timing a Special Battle Art against this attack can completely nullify it, saving you from signifcant damage.
Take note that only Battle Arts preceeded by [Sp.] count as Special Battle Arts, such as [Sp.] Palm Strike.
How to Use Special Battle Arts
Use Combos For More Power
Combos actually deal more damage than randomly spamming normal and heavy attacks. This is due to the powerful final blow after every combo. Be sure to learn the combos of your preferred weapon types to maxmise your damage output!
Utilize Your Companions
Remember that you are not alone in most battles! Ask to be accompanied by an officer before a battle or reach out to them during one. Executing an Extreme Musou Attack with a companion can take out a huge portion of the enemy force when done right.
