Victory Condition: Defeat Yuan Shao
This battle will result in a victory if the officer Yuan Shao is defeated in the battle.
Defeat Condition: Guandu Garrison Falls or Chao Chao Flees
This battle will result in a defeat if either the Guandu Garrison falls or Chao Chao is forced to flee.
How to Unlock Battle of Guandu
Complete Battle of Baima and Yanjin on Wei Route
The Battle of Guandu only becomes available if you complete the Battle of Baima and Yanjin in the Wei route in Chapter 4. Progress the story to get a prompt that the Battle of Guandu has begun.

Prioritize the Eastern Area
The central area of the battle map will be heavily occupied by enemy forces, making the path towards clearing bases difficulty early on if you take that route. Instead, you will want to focus on securing the eastern areas first.
Clearing the east should also lead you to clearing Wuchao at the northeast, an important base to capture.
Enemy Morale Drops on Capturing Wuchao
Wuchao is a provisions storehouse located at the northeast of the map. Dealing it will deal a major blow to the enemy's morale.
Defeat all of the forces defending (the officer there will be Chunyu Qiong) to hit a blow to Yuan Shao and his forces' morale, then continue on securing bases until you are able to get your allies to convene at the northwest area.
Join Allies in Last Charge Against Yuan Shao's Force
Once nearly most enemy bases have been secured, your allies should convene at the south of Yuan Shao's Large Force at the northwest. Wait for them to get into position, then charge into the enemy to defeat Yuan Shao.
Battle of Guandu Rewards
Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapon/s used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.
Skill Points and Mount EXP
Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.
These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
