How to Get Walnut

Playthrough Chapter 1 of the Main Story

Walnut is the first horse you obtain during any playthrough. You acquire Walnut as part of the main story objectives and cannot be missed.

Find and Talk to Huang Gai

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Talk to Huang Gai

After you finish the main story mission The Battle of Wan Castle, do the side mission Elimination of the Pirates in Jing Province. After the mission, Huang Gai, marked with a '???', will appear on the map. Talk to him and finish the conversation scene.

Talk to the Merchant

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Talk to the Merchant
After interacting with Huang Gai, a merchant with a horse will then appear on the Overworld map. Talk to him to obtain Walnut.
