How to Unlock Halberds

Complete the Main Story

The Halberd is the last weapon type that you can use in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, as it will only be unlocked once you complete the main story. This makes the weapon one of the best ones to use during the post-game.

After beating the game, Halberds will become available for purchase at the weapon shops found inside cities.

How to Use Halberd

Highest Damage Weapon in The Game

Being the iconic weapon of the titular character Lu Bu, it's no surprise to learn that the Halberd boasts the highest damage output among all the Weapon Types. Function-wise, it's very much like the Sword, but with the reach of the Spear, and the damage of a perfect-counter Lance.

Halberd Arts effectively transform it into a handheld nuke.

Heavy Charge Time Reduction

The Halberd's unique trait is that it reduces the time to fully charge Heavy attacks after landing a Heavy attack. This way, you can open up with a Heavy attack and easily string into a combo, depending on whether you need to clear troops or quickly dispatch an enemy officer.

True Potential During War God Rage

Once you enter War God Rage when your Musou Gauge is at max, every aspect of the Halberd gets boosted. It gains significantly more range, damage, and attack speed. You will indeed feel like Lu Bu during this state.

Evade Attack Input

PS4 - Left Stick + PS5 - Triangle Button while PS4 - R2 Button evading
XBOX - Left Stick + XBOX - Y Button while XBOX - Right Trigger evading
W ButtonA ButtonS ButtonD Button + Right Click while Space Button evading
 Jump high in the input direction and do an aerial dive attack.

Use this move to quickly get in and out of battle without sacrifing attack pressure. This is particularly effective at zoning enemy officers while being surrounded by plenty of fodder.

 Sweep around with the Halberd before twirling it and ending with a powerful slam.

This is the Halberd's simple yet powerful go-to move if you want to take a decent chunk out of enemy officers. The stun on the 5th hit grants you the chance to do a follow-up Strong attack.

(Sp.) Boundless Launch (Sp.) Boundless Launch 3 Immobilize enemies with your halberd and then throw them forward.
Sp. Effect:
Able to stop certain attacks and stagger the enemy.
Dance of the Demon Dance of the Demon 6 Swing your halberd around, unleashing a devastating sequence of attacks. Inflicts great damage to enemies within a large area.
Defiant Shockstorm Defiant Shockstorm 2 Swing your halberd above your head to generate a tornado that takes surrounding enemies and gathers them together in front of you.
Divine Wrath Divine Wrath 2 Sweep around you with your halberd. Holding the button after the attack increases the strength of the final blow by using Bravery.
Force Quake Force Quake 2 Focus your energy into your halberd, increasing your Attack Power and Attack Speed for a set amount of time by consuming your own Health.
Hellraiser Hellraiser 5 Use your halberd to infuse the earth with your Bravery. The energy will erupt from beneath, launching enemies into the air.
Menacing Tempest Menacing Tempest 3 Sweep your weapon around you while running, catching enemies in your path and sending them flying.
Sky Blaze Sky Blaze 3 Jump up to slash enemies in the air. Can also be performed from midair. The higher up the attack is performed, the greater the strength of the final strike.
Sky Crusher Sky Crusher 4 Jump high up into the air and then slam your halberd into the ground. The resulting shockwave will send enemies within a large area flying. Can also be performed in midair.
Valiant Steed Blitz Valiant Steed Blitz 7 Unleash a ferocious flurry of mounted attacks that send enemies within a large area flying. An exteremely powerful attack.
