Who is the Protagonist or Ziluan (Nameless Hero)?
Real Name Revealed to be Ziluan
The protagonist's real name is soon revealed to be Ziluan. He is a member of the Guardians of Peace, a hidden group of warriors and assassins whose job it is to maintain peace across China.
Ziluan is not based on any historial character and is an original character made for the story of Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Martial Artist with Amnesia
At the beginning of the game, Ziluan is described as a martial artist with amnesia. Despite having amnesia, the protagonist still remembers how to fight and handle weapons.
Ziluan will meet people who will help him search for answers about his past and true identity.
Referred to as the Wanderer
The protagonist has no official name and is simply referred to as the Wanderer in the game.
The protagonist travels across the vast Chinese continent, meeting various heroic figures and making a name for himself in times of war.
Players Decide the Name of the Protagonist
In the post-battle scene of the first battle of the story, players will be given the chance to name the protagonist.
This happens during the conversation between the protagonist and Guan Yu where the two are introducing themselves.
Zhao Yun Is the Main Character in Previous Games
In previous Dynasty Warrior games, Zhao Yun was the main character. For Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you cannot control Zhao Yun but you can bring him to the battlefield as a companion if you are part of Liu Bei's Forces.
Is There a Female Protagonist?
The Protagonist's Gender Cannot Be Changed
While there are female playable companions in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you cannot change the protagonist's gender since the game does not have an actual a character creation mechanic!
