★ How to Do a Battle Art Chain
In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, high morale allies are stronger in combat, while low morale enemies are easier to defeat. See what morale does, how to raise ally morale, and how to lower enemy morale in this guide!
When ally morale is high, they are more likely to win battles across the map, even without you directly aiding them. They are more able to defeat enemy officers and capture bases on their own, so aim to raise your morale often.
Opponents with low morale are more easily defeated, as their officers have reduced Fortitude, and their numbers are likely to scatter and reduce their presence on the battlefield.
Enemies with high morale instead become more aggressive, and can be more difficult to take down. They also have an easier time taking out your allies, so be aware of the situation if you see that enemy morale is rising.
Enemy officers can use their own Tactics if their morale is high enough. They also have more Fortitude, making them even tougher. To counter their tactics, fire off a Battle Art tagged with the [Sp.] prefix.
Methods for Raising Ally Morale |
---|
|
To raise ally morale, players should aim to capture the bases on the map, as well as ensuring that owned bases do not fall into enemy control.
Defeating enemy officers will also raise ally morale, moreso if the officer was taken down during a duel. Defeating enemy officers also helps with the prior tactic of taking bases, so be sure to take out as many as you can.
Certain battles will have your allies employ a Grand Tactic, which comes with an objective in the upper-left corner of the screen. Successfully aiding your allies in pulling of the Grand Tactic will greatly increase their morale!
Methods for Lowering Enemy Morale |

|
At certain points in battle, your allies may stop advancing and prepare for an ambush. This is indicated on-field by this white circle. Approach the circle to start the ambush and lower enemy morale.
Enemies can also use Grand Tactics. When they do, another objective will appear in the upper-left corner. Completing those will instead quell their tactic and greatly decrease their morale.
Taking out an enemy' s large force is a daunting task, as it involves defeating multiple of their officers. But once you do, their morale will drastically drop when the large force disperses.
