How to Save Guo Jia
Replay the Battle of Mt. Bailang
Saving Guo Jia is much simpler than saving Dian Wei but still requires speed. Follow these steps to ensure Guo Jia survives and fate is altered.
Do note that you can save Guo Jia even before the post-game. But, if you already finished the Battle of Mt. Bailang, then you can replay the mission through the Story Mode mechanic after beating the game once.
Wei True Ending Guide (Cao Cao's Forces)
Capture All Bases to the West
As soon as the battle starts, rush westward and capture every base on the way to the western side of the map. If you've done this quick enough, Guo Jia will mention that everything is going according to plan.
All Post-Game Content and Unlockables
Defeat Bailuan
At this point, Bailuan will appear on the west side of the map. Rush to this area and defeat him. You will know you have succeeded when he retreats from battle, Guo Jia comments about exceeding expectations, and you receive a Fate Altered notification on screen.
Finish the Mission as Usual
After defeating Bailuan, proceed to finish the mission. You may need to rush to the southeast to rescue Cao Cao from a losing battle. Then, join Xu Huang's charge against Yuan Shang's Forces in the north, and defeat Bailuan again.
The mission will end after taking down Bailuan a second time. After a few cutscenes, Guo Jia should have his fate altered, and should survive his illness.
Rescuing Guo Jia Tips
Use Grade 7 or Stronger Weapons
To make the fights needed for saving Guo Jua easier, it is recommended to equip and use Grade 7 or stronger weapons, such as the ultimate weapons, obtainable in the post-game.
Lower the Game's Difficulty
If you are having a hard time rescuing Guo Jia, we recommend lowering your game's difficulty to Historian. This way, you can defeat Bailuan and other enemies much faster!

Anonymous 5 monthsAnd yet he is at the battle at chang ban which is after the mission you save him, Do your research. The doctor that is helping Ziluan help Guo Jia so he can help with the fire attack at chang ban which is the only way to stop it.
