Shu True Ending Guide
Finish the Game Once
While you can get the Shu true ending before the post-game, we recommend getting the normal ending for the Shu faction first and then doing the true ending requirement using the Story Mode function.
This is because you can get Epic or Ultimate weapons in the post-game, allowing you to do the fate altered events much easier.
All Post-Game Content and Unlockables
Replay Battle of Changban
After unlocking Story Mode, open up the Story Mode menu from an inn. Then, replay the Chapter 5 mission called Battle of Changban.
Defeat Cao Cao's Large Force
In the Battle of Changban, instead of supporting Liu Bei in his escape, you will need to face against Cao Cao's Large Force in the northern part of the map and defeat them all on your own.
Cao Cao's Large Force has its own health bar, however, defeating Cao Cao first will instantly disband his Large Force, earning you the victory. We recommend setting the game's difficulty to Historian if you are having a hard time defeating Cao Cao's Large Force!
Play to The End
At this point, you have completed all requirements you need to unlock the true ending. Just play to the end of the game to unlock the true ending for Wu.
How to Join Shu Faction (Liu Bei)
Reach Chapter 3
The branching paths for the three factions begins in Chapter 3. None of the choices you've made in Chapter 1 and 2 will affect which faction you join, as everything is decided in Chapter 3, so make sure you're at this point of the story.
Chapter 3 Story Walkthrough
Complete Contributions for Liu Bei
While in Chapter 3, you will be asked to make Contributions toward the three factions' forces. Make sure to complete at least two Contributions towards Liu Bei's Forces in order to open up the Shu route, which naturally leads to the Shu ending.
Choose to Join Liu Bei's Forces
If you have completed Contributions for two or more factions, you will be forced to choose between them. However, completing Contributions solely for Liu Bei will very likely make you enemies with the other two factions, so you will have no choice but to side with Shu.
