All Faction Endings

Six Endings in Total

Factions Requirements
Shu (Liu Bei) Normal Ending: Join Liu Bei's forces in Chapter 3 and complete the campaign.
True Ending:
1. Finish the Game Once
2. Defeat Cao Cao's Large Force in Battle of Changban (Chapter 5)
Wei (Cao Cao) Normal Ending: Join Cao Cao's forces in Chapter 3 and complete the campaign.
True Ending:
1. Finish the Game Once
2. Save Dian Wei in Escape From Wan Castle (Chapter 4)
3. Save Guo Jia in Battle of Mt. Bailang (Chapter 5)
4. Defeat Huang Gai in Battle of Chibi (Chapter 5)
Wu (Sun Jian) Normal Ending: Join Sun Jian's forces in Chapter 3 and complete the campaign.
True Ending:
1. Finish the Game Once
2. Save Sun Jian in Battle of Xiangyang (Chapter 3)
3. Save Sun Ce in Suppression of Wu (Chapter 4)
4. Play to the end of the game

Normal endings are achieved by joining one of the three factions in Chapter 3 and then finishing the campaign.

True endings for each faction are unlocked by achieving their normal ending first, and then hopping on Story Mode again to fulfill certain conditions.

Make Contributions to Your Chosen Faction

You can join a faction in Chapter 3 by completing battles for your chosen faction which are referred to as contributions in game.

The game will notify you when you reach a point of no return so you can think over your decision carefully.

Strictly speaking, there is no single best faction to join as it only affects how the story unfolds and the future battles you will engage in.

There is no right or wrong choice, so go ahead and join the leader who you can stand behind!

Liu Bei's Forces (Shu)

Liu Bei

Liu Bei is a benevolent leader striving to bring peace to the land and swore an oath of brotherhood with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, which is famously known as the "Oath of the Peach Garden".

Liu Bei later establishes the Shu kingdom after the Battle of Chi Bi.

Sun Jian's Forces (Wu)

Sun Jian

Sun Jian is a skilled warrior known as the "Tiger of Jiangdong". He is the father of Sun Ce, Sun Quan, and Sun Shangxiang.

Sun Jian would eventually form the foundation of the Wu kingdom.

Cao Cao's Forces (Wei)

Cao Cao

Cao Cao is a cunning and master tactician. As a cousin to his generals Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan, he is capable of outmaneuvering his enemies both on and off the battlefield.

Cao Cao later on becomes the commander of the Wei kingdom.

Different Storyline and Endings

Each faction has their own unique storylines and exclusive endings to tell. The Wanderer's choices affect the flow of the story, especially when it cmes to chosing a faction to side with.

Players will also benefit from playing through Shu, Wu, and Wei factions because trophies are rewarded for finishing each faction's story!

Different Companion Choices

Companions will also differ depending on the faction you side with! Each faction is also color coded with Shu wearing green armor, Wu wearing red armor, and Wei wearing blue armor, so players can easily tell which character belongs to which faction.

All officers use different weapons, and switching to them during battle also allows players to know how these characters are played during battle.

Different Characters to Bond With

Each faction also has different characters you can bond with. After joining a faction, you can only bond with those who belong in the same faction, and take requests from lords and generals in the same factioon as well.
