You can join a faction in Chapter 3 by completing battles for your chosen faction which are referred to as contributions in game.
The game will notify you when you reach a point of no return so you can think over your decision carefully.
Strictly speaking, there is no single best faction to join as it only affects how the story unfolds and the future battles you will engage in.
There is no right or wrong choice, so go ahead and join the leader who you can stand behind!
Liu Bei is a benevolent leader striving to bring peace to the land and swore an oath of brotherhood with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, which is famously known as the "Oath of the Peach Garden".

Each faction has their own unique storylines and exclusive endings to tell. The Wanderer's choices affect the flow of the story, especially when it cmes to chosing a faction to side with.
Players will also benefit from playing through Shu, Wu, and Wei factions because trophies are rewarded for finishing each faction's story!
All Chapters, Missions, and Battles
Companions will also differ depending on the faction you side with! Each faction is also color coded with Shu wearing green armor, Wu wearing red armor, and Wei wearing blue armor, so players can easily tell which character belongs to which faction.
All officers use different weapons, and switching to them during battle also allows players to know how these characters are played during battle.
Each faction also has different characters you can bond with. After joining a faction, you can only bond with those who belong in the same faction, and take requests from lords and generals in the same factioon as well.
