How to Unlock Crescent Blades
Obtain in Chapter 3: Rescue of Emperor Xian
Depending on which forces players decide to join, the Crescent is unlocked in Chapter 3: Rescue of Emperor Xian:
- Cao Cao route - Enemy drops in Rescue of Emperor Xian.
- Sun Jian route - Enemy drops in Escape from Danyang.
- Liu Bei route - Defeat Cao Cao to rescue Lu Bu.

How to Use Crescent Blade
Seamless Transition Between Attack Inputs
One of the unique traits of the Crescent Blade is how it allows you to seamlessly swap between Normal and Heavy attacks, opening up plenty of variations for stringing together combos.
Weapon Charge Level Increases Damage
The paired unique characteristic with the Crescent Blade's seamless attack swapping is its ability to gain Weapon Charge the more you mix your Normal and Heavy attacks. The Crescent Blade has two charge levels, indicated by a glow on the weapon. White is Level 1, while Green is Level 2.
Crescent Blade Recommended Combos
Level 2 Guard Heavy Attack Input

[Upgrade Lv. 2] Expands the area of the combo and single strike. |
You will first need to charge the weapon to Level 2 by swapping between Normal and Heavy attacks. Once at Level 2, you can take advantage of a Heavy attack from a guard for a fast, hard-hitting move.
Level 2 Evade Heavy Attack Input

Same with the move above, you'll need to be at weapon Level 2 before you can trigger this attack. Contrary to the lvl. 2 guard into Heavy attack, the lvl. 2 evade into Heavy attack is better for clearing large areas of enemies.

6 | Spin your Bravery-infused crescent blade to generate a devastating tornado. The strength of the attack increases at a higher upgrade level. |
 Bursting Wave Slash |
4 | Swing your crescent blade downward to launch a shockwave in front of you, sending enemies flying. |
 Divine Energy Domain |
4 | Focus divine energies of heaven and earth. While immersed in divine energy, your upgrade level will increase to the maximum. |
 Dragon Tail Swipe |
3 | Unleash consecutive attacks while moving forward, leaving little opportunity for enemies to strike. |
 Great Mountain Throw |
8 | Muster up an enormous amount of Bravery to launch a palm strike and a shockwave. Sends enemies within a large area flying. |
 Mist Walk |
2 | Evade attacks with nimble footwork. Evading enemy attacks right before impact increases the upgrade level. |
 Rising Cloud Crusher |
4 | Swing your crescent blade upward while jumping, then swing it down as you fall. The downward strike will be powerful. |
 Star Sunder Slash |
2 | Take wide swings with your crescent blade and slash powerfully. The number of slashes increases at a higher upgrade level. |
