The Gauntlets are a fairly unique weapon because it offers Stances in place of what would be Strong Attacks with other weapons. Once in a stance, you can trigger different attacks depending on whether you start with either a normal or a strong attack.
Another perk of using the Gauntlets is that it has a unique attack where it reduces the prep time to launch the next attack.
The Gauntlets strongest attack is the repeating strong attack when in the Snake Stance. When in this stance, strong attacks give you Super Armor and can launch staggered enemies. Launched enemies are often open to be followed-up with another repeating strong attack.
| Input | Description |
|---|---|
Serpent Stance: Serpent Stance: Serpent Stance: |
Spin your arms to attack around you. Pulls in enemies. |
The Gauntlet's Serpent Stance Heavy attack allows you to fire off a wide-reaching counterattack.
| Input | Description |
|---|---|
Tiger Stance: Tiger Stance: Tiger Stance: |
Unleash a triple shot of spirit energy. |
Going to the Tiger Stance gives you more offense-oriented Heavy attacks, allowing you to dish out more damaging and farther-reaching attacks to further batter vulnerable enemies.
| Arts | Bravery Req. | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Concentrate your Bravery to launch a shockwave. This Special can interrupt certain attacks and stagger the enemy.
Sp. Effect: Able to stop certain attacks and stagger the enemy. |
|
| 2 | Unleash an elbow strike. Can be performed rapidly. | |
| 2 | Focus your spirit. Enables you to take stances more quickly for a set amount of time. | |
| 1 | Unleash a forward jump kick. When you strike an enemy, the momentum will carry you upward. Can also be performed in midair. | |
| 8 | Kick enemies upwards, immobilize them in midair, and then slam them into the ground. An extremely powerful attack. | |
| 3 | Unleash a series of spinning kicks, catching surrounding enemies and sending them flying. | |
| 3 | Take a counterattack stance. If attacked while in this stance, you will unleash an overwhelming wave of consecutive attacks. | |
| 5 | Unleash a powerful body slam attack. Holding the button after the attack changes the follow-up strike. | |
| 4 | Break apart the bedrock, causing debris to strike enemies within a large area in front of you and send them flying. | |
| 6 | Slam the ground with all of your strength, releasing a shockwave in every direction that launches surrounding enemies into the air. |
