Yuan Shao is Defeated

Defeat Yuan Shao after he moves his forces from their Northeastern Main Camp as Lu Bu moves towards the Escape Point.

Lu Bu Reaches the Escape Point

Escort Lu Bu and make sure het safely gets to the Escape Point at the Southwestern edge of the map.

Defeat Condition: Either Lu Bu or Liu Bei Is Forced to Flee

Prevent Lu Bu or Liu Bei from fleeing the battlefield by watching their condition, assisting them during fights, and raising the team's morale.

Get To Lu Bu's Location Fight Back Cao Cao's Large Force Recapture the Southern Base Defeat Cao Cao's Large Force

Get To Lu Bu's Location

When the battle begins, your main goal is to get to Lu Bu's location somewhere in the Central-East portion of the map. On the way there, Guan Yu will volunteer to intercept Zhang He and his forces to secure the route to the Escape Point.

Fight Back Cao Cao's Large Force

Shortly after linking up with Lu Bu, Xu Zhu will reveal Cao Cao and his Large Force hiding in the Northwestern corner of the map. Once Cao Cao's forces begin their advance, Lu Bu will head towards the escape point, putting you on a collision course with several enemy officers.

Mind Yuan Shao's Large Force

Not long after Cao Cao makes his move, Yuan Shao will rally his forces, sending another Large Force to do a pincer attack from behind, attempting to fully cut off your advance.

Recapture the Southern Base

Before you are attacked from both sides, Liu Bei will take his troops to try and push back Yuan Shao's forces. Help him take out the nearest enemy officers then stay with him as you both attempt to regroup with Lu Bu.

On the way to the escape point, take the opportunity to defeat Guo Jia and Yu Jin, further evening the scales.

Defeat Cao Cao's Large Force

Before going any further, you can either try to wipe out Yuan Shao and his large force or breakthrough Cao Cao's large force and get Lu Bu to the escape point. Defeating Yuan Shao will win you this battle.

Should you go for the second option, you'll need to fight through Dian Wei and Cao Cao himself to clear the route to the escape point, thus completing the mission.

Rescue of Lu Bu Rewards

Weapon Proficiency

Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapons used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.

Best Skills to Get First

Skill Points and Mount EXP

Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.

These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
