Is There New Game Plus?

No New Game Plus; Only Story Replay

Dynasty Warriors: Origins doesn't have a New Game Plus mode per say, but it does grant you the ability to replay Story battles and cutscenes via a chapter select menu that is unlocked after beating the story once.

This mode is accessed via the Story menu at any Inn. You can browse through all the chapters, battles, and cutscenes you experienced in your first run of the game and choose to replay them in any order. You can even change the outcome of certain events and deaths that affected story.

Additionally, you can go back to Chapter 3 and side with a different faction from your original playthrough in order to unlock their branches of Chapters 4 and 5.

What Carries Over in the New Game?

Rank and Equipment

During the Story mode replay, your character will retain all available equipment (including Weapons, Arts, Accessories, Horses, and Clothing) and Skills.

You will definitely want to use the higher level equipment and target unlocking more skills, especially because of the post-game Ultimate difficulty option, which grants your character even more unique rewards.

Free Companion Select

Additionally, when you replay battles, you'll be able to choose from any of your companions this time around (instead of only being able to select companions based on the officers available for that story mission).
