Victory Condition: Defeat Xiahou Dun
To achieve victory in this mission, you must defeat Xiahou Dun, who is secured in his main camp. Set up a trap for the enemy, scatter their forces, and breach their defenses to take him down.
Defeat Condition: Liu Bei is Forced to Flee
This mission will end in a loss if Liu Bei is forced to flee. Don't let the enemy take out your archers and assist Liu Bei when necessary to avoid defeat.

Capture the Enemy Flanks
When the battle starts, Zhuge Liang will suggest taking the bases at the enemy's flanks to set up a trap for their central forces later on. Head for and secure the bases at the Northwest and Southeast corners of the map with Yueying and her archers.
Storm the Central Base
After securing the bases, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei will execute the next phase of the plan and attack the Central Base to get the enemy's attention.
Lure Out Li Dian and Yu Jin
Shortly after the attack on the central base, Li Dian and Yu Jin will try to recapture the bases at the flanks. During this segment, defeat both of them to guarantee the success of the fire ambush.
If you're doing this mission on Ultimate Warrior difficulty, then there is also a challenge linked to defeating these officers.
Defeat Zhang Liao's Vanguard Force
Once the ambush is set, Zhao Yun will callback your forces. Zhang Liao will take notice of this and command his forces to charge towards the center base. A cutscene will play where archers shoot flaming arrows. This will significantly lower the health of enemy officers that are with him. Defeat Zhang Liao to reduce enemy morale.
Defeat Xiahou Dun
Lastly, storm Xiahou Dun's main camp and defeat him to complete the mission. At most he'll have just several officers with him, so open the engagement with a True Musou Attack to level the playing field.

Victory Condition: Defeat Liu Bei
To achieve victory in this mission, you must defeat Liu Bei, who is secured in his main camp. Prepare for a lot of enemy advantages throughout the course of this battle and focus on reaching Liu Bei to take him down.
Defeat Condition: Xiahou Dun is Forced to Flee
The mission will end in a loss if Xiahou Dun is forced to flee. The enemy will have traps and reinforcements at the ready. Provide assistance when and where you can and make sure that Xiahou Dun does not get overwhelmed to avoid defeat.

Assist Your Allies at the Flanks
The battle begins with you and allied forces advancing on the enemy. Allied officers Yue Jin and Xiahou Yuan will attempt to flank the enemy and come in from the Northwestern and Southeastern paths.
The enemy will then launch an ambush with Yueying and her archers, putting you at a disadvantage. Choose between assisting either Point A or B.
Advance to the Central Battlefield
Managing to push back the initial enemy ambush, they'll call a retreat, prompting you and your forces to advance towards the Central Base.
Deal with Enemy Reinforcements
En route to the Center Battlefield, another set of enemy ambushes will appear, led separately by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Beat them both back.
Defeat the Enemy's Central Force
Defeating Guan Yu and Zhang Fei will only cause them to fall back and regroup with the rest of their allies at the center of the map. Clash with the large cluster of enemies there and defeat Zhao Yun in a Duel before proceeding to take out every enemy officer after.
Defeat Liu Bei
Lastly, storm Liu Bei's main camp and defeat him to complete the mission. At this point, he'll only have a handful of officers with him to defend, so feel free to expend your Musou Gauge to quickly take them out.

How to Unlock Battle of Bowangpo
Finish Battle of Xinye in Shu Route
Finish the previous mission Battle of Xinye in Chapter 5 to unlock this one. You must be part of the Shu Faction to access this mission.
Finish the Battle of Mt. Bailang in Wei Route
Finish the previous mission Battle of Mt. Bailang in Chapter 5, then speak to Xiahou Dun and Xu Shu on the Overworld Map to unlock this one. You must be part of the Wei Faction to access this mission.
Battle of Bowangpo Rewards
Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapon/s used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.
Skill Points and Mount EXP
Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.
These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
