The Staff is unlocked by defeating Dong Min in Chapter 2: Assassination of Dong Zhou. Dong Min is the enemy in the gold room.

How to Use Staff

Continuous Attack During Button Hold

The Staff's unique gimmick is that it allows you to perform a continuous strong attack when you hold down the input button. Finishing the full held attack will result in a powerful 'Final Blow'.

Staff Swinging Advance

Holding the Heavy attack input after a normal attack will propel you forward while swinging the Staff left and right. This is a great engager or de-engager for battles.

Held Strong Attack from A Parry

You can easily chain into the held-Strong attack string immediately off of a Parry. Be aware, however, that you can be interrupted if you use this against non-staggered enemies.

Knock-Up Combo

Input	Description
+ (can hold) + (can hold) + (can hold)	Launch enemies into the air. Hold the input to switch to a flurry of midair attacks.

Use this combo to launch vulnerable and staggered enemies, which completely opens them up to follow-up attacks and combos.

Normal String Heavy Attack Cancel

Input	Description

Cancel moves are always great to help maintain your flow and positioning. This Staff attack gives you high mobility while shoving away fodder enemies. Perfect for tactical repositioning.

(Sp.) Chaotic Flurry	3	Move forward while swinging your staff. Can also be performed in midair. Sp. Effect: Able to stop certain attacks and stagger the enemy.
Brutal Barrage	3	Perform a quick flurry of forward attacks and unleash a shockwave in front of you.
Double Wave Slam	5	Jump up and then forcefully slam your staff against the ground, producing a shockwave that launches enemies into the air.
Furious Tiger Dance	7	Swing your staff to deliver a fierce attack, catching enemies within a large area and sending them flying.
Ruinous Wave	2	Perform a quick sweeping attack with your staff and send surrounding enemies flying.
Shadow Step	2	Move at lightning speed for a thrust attack, quickly closing the distance between you and the enemy.
Soaring Sky Dance	3	Sweep at surrounding enemies while spinning and then jump up. Can also be performed in mid air.
Thrashing Inferno Sweep	3	Move forward while swinging your staff. Holding the button increases the number of attacks. Enemies caught in the large attack area will be sent flying.
Tiger Paw Bash	4	Slam your staff against the ground while unleashing a combo attack. Holding the button increases the number of attacks.
Vaulting Leap	1	Leap up high by using your staff, catching enemies in front of you and launching them into the air.
