All Regular Horses

Horses are animal mounts that can be summoned and ridden by the protagonist during battles. Riding horses is a great way to quickly travel around the map.

They also have abilities that take effect only when they're ridden or summoned, such as increased mounted stability, extended maximum mounted charge distance, and stagger nearby enemies when summoned.

Claim from Ji Province Waymark after reaching Peace Level 1 for Ji Province. Lv. 5 - Increases mounted stability by 50%
Lv. 10 - Extends mounted charge maximum distance by 20%
Lv. 20 - Staggers nearby enemies when you summon your horse.
Chestnut Speed: 16
Endurance: 3
Claim from Liang Province Waymark after reaching Peace Level 2 for Liang Province. Lv. 5 - Reduces arrow damage taken by 40%
Lv. 10 - Boosts defense by 20% when mounted.
Lv. 20 - Increases speed when near death.

Claim from Jing Province Waymark after reaching Peace Level 1 for Jing Province. Lv. 5 - Boosts mounted charge impact damage by 50%

Lv. 20 - Staggers nearby enemies when you land from a height.
Maple Speed: 14
Endurance: 2
Claim from You Province Waymark after reaching Peace Level 1 for You Province. Lv. 5 - Increases mounted stability by 50%

Lv. 20 - Boosts recovery of rider strength when performing a mounted attack.
Walnut Speed: 13

The first horse you acquire as part of the main story objectives. Lv. 5 - Boosts mounted charge impact damage by 50%
Lv. 10 - Increases mounted stability by 50%
Lv. 20 - Grants Bravery upon falling from your horse.

All Special Horses

Certain horses can only be unlocked after fulfilling specific objectives on specific difficulties. These horses often have better Speed and Endurance stats, as well as providing you with better and more unique mounted skills.

In Shu (Liu Bei) Route, finish “Battle of Chibi” with 6 or more allied officers alive on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty. Lv. 5 - Extends mounted charge maximum distance by 50%
Lv. 10 - Grants Bravery upon falling from your horse.
Lv. 20 - Reduces arrow damage taken by 80%
Red Hare Speed: 50
Endurance: 5
Complete Defeat Lu Bu in the Battle of Xiapi on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty without using Meat Buns or any Portable Item. Lv. 5 - Makes it possible for a mounted charge to defeat soldiers in a single strike.
Lv. 10 - Staggers nearby enemies when you land from a height.
Lv. 20 - Boosts mounted charge impact damage by 100%
Shadow Runner Speed: 44
Endurance: 4
In Wei (Cao Cao) Route, finish “Escape From Wan Castle” while preventing the enemy's stone barrage on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty. Lv. 5 - You will no longer be dismounted while riding a horse.
Lv. 10 - Staggers nearby enemies when you summon your horse.
Lv. 20 - Boosts defense by 50% when mounted.
Storm Runner Speed: 46
Endurance: 4
In Wei (Cao Cao) Route, finish “Battle of Huarong Path” with 7 or more allies alive on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty. Lv. 5 - Increases the drop rate of Nectar Water upon defeating enemies with a mounted attack.
Lv. 10 - Increases speed when near death.
Lv. 20 - Increases mounted stability by 100%

How to Obtain Horses

Obtain Through Missions

Horses can be obtained by progressing through the main story. Walnut is the first horse players can obtain in the story.

Raise The Provincial Peace Level

After acquiring the first horse Walnut, subsequent horses can be claimed as a reward at the nearest Waymark within a province after raising its Peace Level.

How to Level Up Horses

Complete Specific Mission Types

You can level up horses by clearing battles and missions (orange icon with a guard's silhouette)!

Do note that random skirmishes will not level up your mounts.

How to Mount Horses

Summon During Battles

Horses can be mounted or ridden by first summoning them during battles using the Call Horse Button. Once a horse is summoned, the protagonist will automatically mount it.

To dismount, simply press the Dismount button.

How to Equip Horses

Equip in the Battle Preparation

The only way to equip gems is through the Battle Preparation under the Equipment tab. Once on the Equipment tab, simply select the Horse slot, then choose a horse from the available selection.

Horse Actions

Horse Actions During Combat

Action Explanation
Call/Summon Calls or summons the currently equipped horse.
Mounted Attack The protagonist performs an attack with the his weapon while mounted on the horse.
Mounted Charge The horse dashes at high speeds in exchange for expending Endurance, knocking up and damaging enemies in its path.
Assault The protagonist leaps from its horse and performs an attack.
Block The protagonist raises its weapon to block incoming attacks.
Jump The horse jumps, allowing it to leap over obstacles.
Dismount The protagonist gets off the horse.

Ride Horses In The Overworld

Besides being able to summon and ride your horse during Battles, you can also ride it when traversing the Overworld, allowing you to move faster.

Might wanna update the Horse XP, as it's based on mission and not use. Skirmishes and Requests don't even give Horse XP.
