Victory Conditions: Defeat Yan Liang and Wen Chou
Whether you have chosen the Wei or Shu route, the objectives are the same. Defeat Yan Liang and, once he appears in the battlefield, defeat Wen Chou as well.
The only difference between the Wei and Shu route in this battle are the companions you can choose. For Wei, you can choose between Zhang Liao, Xiahou Dun, and Guo Jia. For Shu, you can only choose Guan Yu as a companion.
Defeat Condition: Cao Cao Flees
Prevent Cao Cao from fleeing the battlefield by watching his condition, assisting him in fights, and raising the team's Morale.

Prevent Wang Xiu From Reaching Yan Liang
At the start of the battle, Wang Xiu will see your group's surprise attack and rush north to inform Yan Liang. If he manages to do so, it will increase the enemy's courage in Baima Castle. Defeat Wang Xiu as soon as possible to prevent this.
Capture the Southeast Base
As you go north, make sure to capture the southeast base on the way. Doing so will bring in reinforcements led by Zhong Yao, adding more soldiers to your forces.
Launch Ambush Towards Baima Castle
An ambush will start once you reach the front of Baima Castle. Remember to approach the white circle to launch the ambush immediately. However, they can also do it by themselves after some time has passed.
Even if Yan Liang is in the area, focus on capturing Baima Castle first. This will give you the upper hand later in the battle, as more reinforcements will appear once Baima is secured.
Defeat Brave Yuan Shao General
As you fight for Baima Castle, a Brave Yuan Shao General will launch a Fiery Fortress grand tactic. This makes the enemy launch flaming volleys at your forces. Defeat Brave Yuan Shao General in order to stop the volley.
Defeat Yan Liang
After securing Baima, defeat Yan Liang and his large force. You may get the opportunity to enter a duel with him. Accept it to defeat him quicker and raise your force's Morale.
Defeat Mysterious Stranger
The Mysterious Stranger, Bailuan, will appear into the battlefield once your allied forces capture a few of the bases to the west. He will head straight to attack Cao Cao. This will happen at the same time you are attempting to capture Baima or defeat Yan Liang.
Prioritize on securing Baima and defeating Yan Liang first before rushing to Bailuan. However, if Cao Cao ends up in a dire situation, assist him immediately.
Defeat Wen Chou
After dealing with the Mysterious Stranger and securing Cao Cao, focus on overcoming Wen Chou and his large force. He will appear in the battlefield either after Yan Liang's defeat or when Cao Cao's forces reach the large force in Yanjin.
Wen Chou can command numerous grand tactics in this fight, such as Full Infantry Charge, Full Chariot Charge, and Suppressive Force. Make sure to stop them as soon as they appear. Guo Jia may also launch an Unstoppable Force grand tactic, so it's best to protect him throughout the fight as well.
You may also be offered the opportunity to duel with Wen Chou. Accept this to defeat him quicker and ensure the battle's victory.
How to Unlock Battle of Baima and Yanjin
Finish Battle of Xiapi in Wei Route
In the Wei route, clear Battle of Xiapi in Chapter 4 to proceed and unlock Battle of Baima and Yanjin.
Finish Defense of Xiapi in Shu Route
Clear Defense of Xiapi in Chapter 4 to proceed and unlock Battle of Baima and Yanjin in the Shu route.
Battle of Baima and Yanjin Rewards
Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapon/s used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.
Skill Points and Mount EXP
Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.
These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
