Finish the Game Once

While you can get the Wei true ending before the post-game, we recommend getting the normal ending for the Wei faction first and then clearing the true ending requirements using the Story Mode function.

By doing this, you can obtain Epic or Ultimate weapons in the post-game which will help you do the fate altered events much easier.

Save Dian Wei in Escape From Wan Castle

After unlocking Story Mode, open up the Story Mode menu from an inn. Then, replay the Chapter 4 mission called Escape From Wan Castle with the intention of saving Dian Wei from death.

Save Guo Jia in Battle of Mt. Bailang

After completing the above mission and saving Dian Wei, open up the Story menu in an inn to find another golden banner on the Battle of Mt. Bailang in Chapter 5. Replay this stage and save Guo Jia.

Defeat Huang Gai in Battle of Chibi

Play through the Battle of Chibi as usual but make sure to set Guo Jia as your companion. First and most importantly, defeat Zhuge Liang at the southwest portion of the map, along with other enemy generals after he has retreated. Guo Jia will soon ask you to head to the target location, a yellow flag, on the map.

Head to this location. If you arrive too early before the winds have changed, Guo Jia will ask you to maintain a distance. Once Guo Jia says that the winds have begun to shift, head to the yellow flag on the map to confront Huang Gai and defeat him. If you are successful, you will receive the Fate Altered notification.

Play to The End

At this point, you have completed all requirements you need to unlock the true ending. Just, finish the rest of the mission and play to the end to unlock the true ending for Wei.

How to Join Wei Faction (Cao Cao's Forces)

1. Reach Chapter 3
2. Complete Contributions for Cao Cao
3. Choose to Join Cao Cao's Forces

Reach Chapter 3

The branching paths for the three factions begins in Chapter 3. None of the choices you've made in Chapter 1 and 2 will affect which faction you join, as everything is decided in Chapter 3, so make sure you're at this point of the story.

Complete Contributions for Cao Cao

While in Chapter 3, you will be asked to make Contributions toward the three factions' forces. Make sure to complete at least one Contribution towards Cao Cao's Forces in order to open up the Wei route, which naturally leads to the Wei ending.

Choose to Join Cao Cao's Forces

If you have completed Contributions for two or more factions, you will be forced to choose between them. However, completing Contributions solely for Cao Cao will very likely make you enemies with the other two factions, so you will have no choice but to side with Wei.
