Dynasty Warriors Origins - How to Evade

In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players can evade attacks by pressing R2 on PS5, right trigger on Xbox, and space on PC, and can chain dodges into evade strikes. Check out how to evade, and what evade strikes are in this guide!

Press the Evasion Input to Dodge

PC Space Button

To dodge, press R2 on PS5, right trigger on Xbox, and space on PC. The Wanderer will perform a short maneuver in the direction you're currently moving in, or backwards if he is standing still.

All weapons in Dynasty Warriors: Origins have evade strike inputs, performed by evading in a direction and following that with the strong attack input. Using these can show up as an objective for Training.

Chain Evasion

Chain Evasion

Chain Evasion is a skill unlocked in the Knight-Errant tree, and allows the Wanderer to evade twice in succession. This gives you more safety and movement to avoid enemy attacks.

Perfect Evade

Perfect Evade

Perfect Evade is another skill, unlocked in the second tree labelled Adept. This instead grants you Bravery when dodging right before an attack hits, allowing you to fuel your Battle Arts usage by dodging well.
