Use Special Arts

Special Battle Arts are meant to be used on enemies that are glowing orange. This means that they are preparing a powerful attack, but the Special Battle Art can interrupt their preparation and nullify it when timed correctly.

Battle Arts Interface

Just like other Battle Arts, Special Battle Arts are equipped in the Arts interface of the Equipment Menu. All Special Battle Arts' names are preceeded by [Sp.] as an indicator.

Special Battle Arts Effects

Staggers an Enemy That was Glowing

Hitting an enemy that was glowing with a Special Battle Art will stagger them, knocking them back a bit and halting any action they were preparing.

Also Reduces Fortitude

Enemy Fortitude

A Special Battle Art that connects with a glowing enemy will also greatly reduce their Fortitude, so it is recommended to try and stop glowing enemies whenever possible.

Able to stop certain attacks and stagger the enemy.
