Victory Condition: Liu Bei Reaches the Escape Point
Escort Liu Bei to the escape point to win the battle. Enemy officers and reinforcements will be aggressive on this mission, so make sure to defeat your encounters as soon as possible!
Defeat Condition: Liu Bei Flees
Liu Bei is defeated and is forced to flee from the battlefield.

Drive Cao Cao's Forces Away From Changban Bridge
Escort Liu Bei to the escape point and defeat all enemy officers along the way.
Assist Liu Bei as He Rescues the Peasants
Liu Bei will halt from escaping to help the peasants escape. Make sure to stay close and fend off approaching enemy officers.
Defend Changban Bridge With Zhang Fei
Defend Changban Bridge by eliminating all enemy officers within the area. Once you're done, quickly move to where Liu Bei is stationed and wait for him to gather all the peasants.
Defeat Enemy Reinforcements
Cao Cao's Reinforcements will show themselves after crossing Changban bridge. This will cause the victory condition to change into defeat Cao Cao or supoort Liu Bei.
Choosing any of the conditions will still require you to fight enemy officers either way, so progress through the mission as you see fit.
Face Bailuan in a Duel
The Wanderer will encounter a thick fog near the escape point and finds out that Bailuan was the cause of it. Fight and win against him in a duel to progress!
Wait For Liu Bei to Arrive
After the cutscene between Bailuan and the Wanderer ends, Liu Bei is sure to arrive at the escape point, so wait for him to arrive and win the mission.

Defeat Lord Liu Bei before he reaches the escape point to win the batle.
Defeat Condition: Liu Bei Manages to Escape
Liu Bei and his forces manage to reach the escape point.

Make Your Way to Liu Bei's Forces
Defeat officers along the way and hurry with opening gates to catch up to Liu Bei's Forces. Follow the road towards the escape point to stop Liu Bei from escaping!
Ignore Zhang Fei the First Time
There will be other missions popping up for the Shu officers, so ignore them and head straight for Liu Bei.
Soon, you'll encounter Zhang Fei on the bridge, but run past him while on a horse for the first time until a cutscene plays.
Win the Duel Against Zhang Fei
Zhang Fei will stand his ground the second time, and you won't be able to pass unless you've defeated him in a duel.
Use your War God Rage and musou attacks to easily overpower Zhang Fei and make him retreat from the fight!
Catch Up to Liu Bei
After defeating Zhang Fei, catch up to Liu Bei's forces and prioritize taking him down. Around this time, Cao Cao's Reinforcements will arrive and you will have allies to help you take down other Shu officers.
Defeat Liu Bei
Defeating Liu Bei still causes him to escape, but not at his designated escape point. This still causes victory to the player.
Battle of Changban Rewards
Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapon/s used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.
Skill Points and Mount EXP
Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.
These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
How to Unlock Battle of Changban
Speak to Xu Shu at Jing Province
After clearing Battle of Bowangpo, speaking with Xu Shu at Jing Province will trigger a cutscene. Afterwards, Battle of Changban gets unlocked for both Shu and Wei factions.
