| Wayfarer | ・Some attacks cannot be parried. ・The normal difficulty of the game. ・Advanced gameplay tactics will be helpful. |

Best Difficulty Settings
Historian Difficulty For Newbies and Refreshers
Unlike it's predecessors, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a challenging entry of the mainline games even at its easiest difficulty!
It's best to learn the game's mechanics on the easiest level and get used to the newly added features first, especially if it's your first time playing a Dynasty Warriors game.
Wayfarer Difficulty For Familiarity and Challenges
To further familiarize yourself with the game, choose the Wayfarer difficulty. This helps boost confidence when heading out in the battlefield and facing enemies while minding your resources.
Holding back from using your Musou, knowing when to use God Mode, and being highly aware of your priorities on the battlefield will come into play on this game mode!
Hero Difficulty For Veterans and High Skill Play
Hero difficulty will truly test your capabilities in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
This game mode requires precision, focus, and high skill plays to complete and is recommended for those who consider themselves veterans of the game.
It is also for players who are willing to do the hardest challenge in the demo version, which is facing and defeating Lu Bu at the final area.
Ultimate Warrior Difficulty For Post Game Content
A new difficulty level called Ultimate Warrior will make itself available in the Settings during post-game play. Players will earn more Gold and Skill Points, but will also experience a variety of modifiers, including the following:
- Increased Enemy Damage and Attack Speed
- Blocking Attacks Drains Bravery
- Parry and Perfect Evade Windows are Smaller
- Enemies do not Drop Meat Buns
This game mode exists for those who have beaten the game and are now attempting to unlock Lu Bu as a companion, Red Hare, and his weapon.

How to Change Difficulty
Change From the Game's Configuration Settings
You can adjust the game's difficulty anytime through the Pause Menu. Simply go to the Configuration tab and use the left or right buttons to switch between Historian, Wayfarer, and Hero difficulty levels.
